Q: Hi 5i team,

As you know, on Monday Visa bought Plaid, a private fintech company, for $5.3 billion. Plaid has been described as the “plumbing” that connects the fintech companies. Do you know how that valuation compares to SQ or if they are directly comparable? SQ is trading at 7x sales. That is a low valuation compared to peers such as PYPL, V or MA. I do not know what Plaid’s annual sales are, as I don’t think it was revealed in the purchase transaction. I have always kept a basic position in SQ, thinking that one day it would be a nice fit for a big bank or tech company. Is that day more likely with the Plaid acquisition by V and how do the valuations compare?

Thanks again.
Dave

Q: Currently I hold GUD (1.3%), GILD (0.64%), and ZUH (0.93%) for my healthcare holdings. I see GUD starting to breakout from the base around $7.50, any reason for the move over the last two days and would you add to GUD now or wait a few more quarters? Also been holding GILD for a few years (-40%) and looking to change names? Any suggestions? Thanks!

Q: hi there,

I have used FLOT to park US cash historically but i have been looking at SLQD in the US as it looks like it has outperformed FLOT and has a higher yield. Can you comment on the differences. Is there any reason i would not switch to SLQD (BTW this ticker does not come up in your drop down)
