Q: Hello, I was intrigued by Fernando's question (Jan 26 about that 11 stock/ETF retirement portfolio). The only stock from that list I do not own is QSR. However, thanks to you I do have BYD and PBH. Wondering if (a) these would be good alternatives for QSR? If yes, which one would you prefer? Thank you.

Q: "As reported by the Canadian Federation of Independent Business, approximately 76% of business owners are anticipated to transition out of their businesses in the next decade. This could result in over $2 trillion in business assets changing hands, presenting a substantial opportunity for growth and yield in the sector."

Q: Hey Guys,
- I'm trying to help out a family member that is 67 years old, that is not financially literate, has no investments, no savings...
- He will be receiving approx $ 80k in an inheritance in the next 6 months...
- He Already blew through a previous inheritance of over $100k in about 3 years
- I am setting up a TFSA Investment/Trading account for him and doing a Financial Intervention , So To Speak to get him Back on track...
- His minimum basic expenses like rent is covered by payments he receives..., But additional living expenses and extra income is what I want to help him with and extend the life of the extra inheritance he will be receiving...
- The listed stocks are the ones I am planning on recommending for him to look at and research...
- Please comment and suggest other stocks and investment ideas to consider for:
- Considering His Age and Small investment of $60k
-Looking for:
- Somewhat Safe/Bit Aggressive Growth
- Preservation of Capital
- Income
***Not looking for total financial planning here, But I'm Looking for Ideas to look at and suggest in this type of scenario...
- You Suggest, I Research further and my relative decides...
Thanks

I have both companies a while, costco (6% of portfolio) and atd.b (2.5% of portfolio). Inside "your" balance portfolio would you recommend approximately 4% in both??
Thanks
Jim

Q: I am having trouble deciding whether to buy Costco or ATD.A. Which in your opinion is the better of the two and why or would you recommend a half position in each? thanks in advance for your insight
Q: Portfolio Analytics indicates that, across all accounts, we are significantly underweight in the Basic Materials sector. The stocks and ETF noted above are the only holdings in this sector. (CGL.C is quite a small holding.)
Please suggest at least five additional Canadian stocks in this sector to improve diversification, include a reasonable entry point, and rank them in order of what to purchase first.
Thanks

Q: Hello Peter and 5i team,
My TFSA contains the aforementioned stocks in roughly even percentages except for nominal investments in Park Lawn and DRX. I would like to make my annual contribution to one or some of these companies and would like to know what your order of preference would be for buys/adds at this time. Please also include Celestica in your considerations.
Also, are there any companies in this list that you would consider undervalued at this time?
Thank you.

Q: As they are both Caterpillar dealers serving different geographical areas, do you ever see these companies merging into one? Would a merger not create cost savings via synergies, increased capital pool etc for expansion and growth etc ultimately benefiting the shareholders of the combined company. . Thanks for the great service you provide.
Q: Please send 3 stock picks for TFSA
