Q: As part of my morning routine, I always check the Ink Insider Morning Market Reports on the TD Web Broker website for individual insider buying and selling which I have found helpful. Do you know of another source where this is available? With thanks, Bill

Q: Hi there,
I read an article in The Toronto Star this weekend by Gordon Pape. He mentioned a company called Harvest Portfolio Group and referenced the performance of a few of the ETFs they run. I was interested in your take on their Tech Achievers Growth & Income ETF. How would you compare this against something like a ZQQ/XQQ/HXQ and which would you suggest in owning?
Thanks!

Q: I am seeking to invest the proceeds of a business sale for target returns of inflation + 4% and wishing to increase competence in self directed investing. 25% is marked for bond funds, 35% is earmarked for dividend stock, 25% for Equity ETFs, 7.5% t-bills and 7.5% highly speculative stocks . Do you feel that an allocation of 25% into bonds is too heavy given the probable rise in future interest rates? What funds would you recommend with low mgmt fees and reasonable performance?
Q: I own BNS, and TD, and would like to add one more Canadian Bank. Which other bank has the highest US exposure. Which other bank has the best dividend growth, and lastly which one would you recommend for a 3rd position.
Thanks
Thanks
Q: Earnings release looked fine to me, thus I stepped in on the pull back to now hold a 7% position. Divi is next week, which I will take and I expect ET to move back up into its regular trading range based on this earnings release. When that happens I will sell off half of my current position. Question, what do you think of earnings release and my short term strategy?
Q: Peter,
Whats the strategy now if still held ?
Thanks.

Q: Can I have your thoughts on Transocean (RIG) please. What is their debt levels like/threat of bankruptcy? Are they currently making any money? Is this a good entry point? Any chance of them ever seeing their highs again?

Q: What are your thoughts on Fsz ?
I bought a half position a year ago at 13.30.
Should I sell and move on or add at these levels.
Thanks

Q: Hello: I currently own BMO, CM and BNS. I’m thinking of switching BMO for TD as BMO did not increase its dividend as TD did. Also I believe TD has more US exposure which should show better growth. Your opinion please.
Q: Re: Brenda's inquiry about an online brokerage, I cannot say enough about Q-trade in Vancouver. They come by their #1 ranking in the annual Globe poll honestly. Superb in every way. I have trading authority over several friends' accounts housed at the major banks and none of them, with all their resources, can match Q-Trade. It's a sweet Canadian success story, in my view.

Q: If the WGL acquisition doesn't go through, will Altagas have to cut the dividend because of paying out the subscription receipts and a break fee? How safe is it in this case? Thanks and great service, keep it up.
Q: I think the combined Canadian and US short interest is still about 20%. Could you confirm most recent figures? Based on average daily volume, it would take nearly sixty days to cover. Given that the share price is close to a 52-week low, do you expect that the short positions will be covered soon and if this might spur a recovery in the share price if not an outright short squeeze? I'm just 5% down on a half position and planning to hold. Would you add a bit if it drops further?
