Q: I have a question about 995
I have 200 shares of Enf and my understanding is that I will receive 140 shares of Enb. Given that Enb is down significantly today why doesn't it make sense to sell Enf at today's higher price? Do you think enbridge will sweeten the deal fir Enf like they did with spectra?

Q: Could you name your top 5 'forever' stocks? a Mix of US and CAD would be great. I already own CAD Banks and CSU

Q: Please give me your thoughts re Diageo interest in pot stocks. I have done very well on Canopy and currently over 400% increase, however I feel price is too high to buy more. I want to get some more exposure to pot market and am considering Aphria and Aurora. I note that Aurora has more than double the market cap of Aphria and I have heard that Aurora has through many stock only aquisitions is quite highly leveraged, and Aphria with the CEO having a Jameson background is more suited to medical side. Would you suggest buying a smaller position in both or select one? Thanks for your unbiased knowledge.

I know this is a difficult, and perhaps speculative question; but what would be your top couple picks today for a growth stock that is capable and in your view, likely, to replicate the long term stellar performance of a stock such as CSU? I am looking for a long term, steady eddy growth that is capable of over years, producing that (000's of % return that CSU for example has done. Would you consider KXS a junior CSU? Or perhaps something such as pho? Give me your best, educated couple picks. Thanks,

Q: TD shows ECN’s projected earnings over next four quarters as 25 cents. Originally the preferred shares (ECN.PR.A) were rated Preferred -3 Low but perhaps deserve a higher rating if the common share estimated earnings are correct. Any view on the merit of adding to a small holding of this preferred (for income)?

Q: I'm currently invested in some "subscription model" Companies such as $APPL, $CRM, $MSFT, $AMZN.
Are there any other companies in Canada or the US that use a "subscription model" that you can recommend?

Q: I have a 3.77 % position in YGR. Thinking of adding a further 2% in the sector. I’m mainly a dividend investor with some growth. I’ve been looking at VET because of its dividend and exposure outside Canada. Con looks a bit expensive. Canadian oil trades at a large discount so Canadian oil stocks do not benefit as much from rising oil prices.What do you think. Maybe there are better opportunities that you can offer. Your best suggestion would be greatly appreciated. This would be in a cash account.

Q: I currently hold these stocks with a good profit in the American companies and a slight loss in the Chinese companies. While I know your focus is Canadian stocks I would appreciate comments on any or all of these holdings and, in particular, should any be sold if I plan to hold for a three to five years.

Q: I have taxable capital gains this year from previous trades. The only company that I own in my portfolio in a loss position is AEM. Would this be a good time to sell it for tax purposes and possibly buy it back at a later date?

Q: I have Richard's packaging in my portfolio the past 3 yrs.....Its a Very reliable stock, pays a good dividend. Great for my portfolio. I can put this stock in a drawer and not worry about the day to day price fluctuations.....

Can you provide at least one or two sleep at night stocks like RPI.UN I can stash away in my portfolio.......Can be either U.S or Canadian.

Q: Regarding the above companies, do you see any short term catalysts or is a modicum patience required? I know I Just answered the question.

I deployed my available cash on the dips and am hopeful of a return back to the prices before the dips.

While I know averaging down is not the smartest strategy, it was too hard to resist.

I took a chance on ATD on the dip and it went well. Now I think I am brilliant. Will one ever learn not to try and outguess the market?

I eagerly await the new selections for the growth portfolio!

Finall, my wife has just retired and has a LIRA setup. The Company that is handling it scrapes off approximately $600 a month to administer it. She is not drawing on it until we are both retired. I would like to invest it based on the recommendations from 5i. We have a 5 year timeline until I am retired with a DB pension. Do you recommend the income portfolio, or a blend of all three folio’s, or to remain in the global balanced fund paying fees?
