Q: Assuming that the reactions to the tariffs ends up being a great buying opportunity, and also that we've probably passed the crystal ball "sell everything" point, WHEN and WHERE (industries, specific favorite stocks) would you look to put new money in please?
Q: Hi All at 5i!
Every dark cloud has a silver lining. So, considering Trump‘s insane tariffs and their effects, there will be people making money. What investments, stocks or otherwise, might see a growth in business??
Cheers,
Tamara
Q: Can you please recommend a couple of REITs that you feel good about so I that I could include in my portfolio. Can you please give a brief explanation of why these will make a good investment.
Q: Every broker has issues, and Interactive Brokers has many. Given they also charge a commission and there are now multiple choices among Canadian Brokers for zero commission, including a bonus for transferring, I’ve finally moved my acct. Also the founder of Interactive Brokers is a very wealthy Trump supporter, so there's that as well.
Could I get your thoughts on DUOL’s earnings? As well as company potential? Is the current share price drop more market related?
Q: Hello 5i, on a scale of 1-10, 1= little tariff impact, 10= big tariff impact, stay away from, how would you rate these 2 companies?
In addition is there a Sector like Metals and Minerals that you would give a favourable ranking to? Thanks as always. Chris
Thanks for all your great advice. I particularly enjoyed your recent piece called: "5 inane U.S. policy moves that are spooking investors."
My question is:
If Premier Ford follows through on his 25% tariff on energy exports from Ontario (especially electricity), or even halts those exports, how will that likely impact Hydro One’s stock? Today (March 4) it is up almost 2%.
Q: I hold these large Canadian Companies.. I realize there will be continued volatility in the market but given that these companies have pulled back, some significantly, what order would you buy these names? Are there any you would not buy?

Q: Now that tariffs are here, and Trump is playing hardball with Ukraine and the world, can you provide thoughts on what you think the markets, US and Canadian separately, will do? How far percentage wise might each drop? Looking for time horizons of up to 3 months, a year and then beyond. Realize this is new territory but 5i should have opinions.
Q: Hi 5i
1) What portion of NG is sold to USA versus LNG Canada (soon) and domestic consumption? 2) Canadian oil sands withstood negative oil prices for months - but it still flowed (and hence required condensate) - to what extent do you think Condensate (ARX/TOU) will be affected if there is reduced oil flow from Canadian oil sands. Thank you.

Q: Hi team,
What could be the implications for this company with Trump's 10% tariffs on Canadian energy? TVE is very profitable with oil prices at these levels but it's stock price has taken a hair cut over the last two weeks.Would it be "wise" to dollar cost average now or wait for the dust to settle?
Many thanks from a "not so happy shareholder"
Jean
Q: Hello I am 72 and fully invested in CDN and US equities. I am concerned about a bear market or a correction, and would like to reduce my equity risk.
Say for $250K , how would you invest between CASH, T-Bills, GIC, Bond ETF?
What are you suggestions?
Thanks
