Q: Hi guys, I'm looking to deploy new cash and add 2-3 stocks to a starter portfolio that is split between RRSP and TFSA, long term hold. Current port holds, SHOP,KXS,PBH,TOY,NFI,GUD,CCL.B, and (CRH down 45%). I'm Looking for balanced growth and for the stocks to be in one of 5i portfolio's. Ty!
Q: Hi, would appreciate your comments on RPI.un earnings. Results seems to have been benefited with a tailwind of low CDN$. Should there be an adverse impact, going forward? Also, company seems to be paying down debt steadily. Based on current valuation, is it worth an addition to the packaging co's group ? Thanks
Q: good day...we have not added byd.un to our portfolio as of yet and to do so we would have to lessen our exposure to eci by 1% to make the 2% weighting in byd.un both of these are in tax protected accts at this time...does selling eci to make a full exposure to byd.un make sense at this time...cheers
Q: We always see the US$ FX value, today south of 93. As for the Cdn $, we always see it against the US$. Is there a Cdn$ index where it is measured against a basket of other currencies, not just the US$. Thanks.
Q: Good day 5i team, I am thinking of starting a position in North West Co. Have been waiting for a dip for entry but may just get on with it and fill my consumer non cyclical space. Question: I don't see it in the income or balanced portfolio, any compelling reasons for not including it in an income portfolio with some capital gain long term? This will be a longer term hold inside a registered portfolio
Q: You have a positive report on this company dated Jul 13, 2017 yet I no longer see it in any of your model portfolios. I'm sure I bought it when it was in the balanced portfolio. Why has this been removed?
Q: I have been thinking about buying NFI but I am hesitant to do so with the advent of a possible competitor
company called Grande West Transportation, albeit their buses are smaller. Also, I note that some insiders of NFI have been recent sellers of the stock. Would appreciate your thoughts. With thanks, Bill
Q: I note that CBO have US instruments within their investment portfolio. What percentage of the portfolio is in non Canadian paper and what effect does currency have on this ETF. Regards
Q: Teck reported last week and the numbers looked good. Can I please have your take on the earnings and things going forward. The coal forecast for the 3rd quarter looks impressive and maybe an expanding market in India.
Also Fort Hills coming on stream later this year.
Thx
