Q: It looks to me that some good stocks are being thrownout because of fear if you agree which stocks are good buys, not only technologies but others too.
Q: Can you list some CAD companies that are down big right now and would be good long term positions?
Q: Question on Norbert’s gambit that I’m hoping you know or the community might.
I have a TD RRSP where I accidentally bought Roku in my CAD section of my RRSP. I have a USD portion of the same RRSP, can I have this moved in kind to the USD section?
Thanks!

Q: There are several opinions and blurbs in the media (Barrons, WSJ, CNBC, Bloomberg, and the London Financial Times) that opine on, or point to the probability of, semis having been over-ordered by OEMs in the last couple of quarters. The thinking, if I have understood correctly, is that the revenues of semi conductor companies (designers and foundries alike) will rapidly slide down for the next 9 to 12 months.
What is your own view on this? Would the above— if true— not be priced into stock values already? I am overweight in semis but am reluctant to trim in down markets. Nevertheless I would definitely do so right away if you believe it more prudent to trim (even in taxable accounts).

Q: Would you have a proxy for ILMN and UPST for tax loss selling? Would you buy them back after 30 days or keep the proxies. All within the same risk/upside potential.
Thanks for your service!

Q: Hi 5i Team - Could you provide an update on Lundin Gold, its fundamentals, insider holdings and trading, as well as potential. It is free cash flow positive but doesn't seem to be moving beyond a fairly narrow trading range. Thanks.

Q: Hello,
I have lost about 55% on qrtea. In your opinion, is there any chance it could recover? Should I sell and invest in something else? if so, any suggestions?

Q: Hi I’m a long term investor, and currently very heavy on Tech. I’m currently searching for a non tech name for an RRSP for a long term hold. I’m more focused on growth as I have time on my hands. Outside of tech, I hold ATZ, HON, BAM, GSY, SQ, COST. Can you please list your top 10 favourite US companies?
Thanks for everything

Q: Pennymac would, at first glance, appear to be on the "road to nowhere" in terms of stock price and prospects. However, in Point & Figure terms it is currently in "Triple Top Breakout" mode since May 24 and its cash flow seems more than adequate to meet dividend payout requirements. Is this a decent income stock?
Q: I heard a rumour about the Federal government's threat to REIT flow-through taxation status. Is this something that is actively under consideration? Remnants of the Halloween Income Trust debacle come to mind
Q: Hello,
I am looking at buying some corporate bonds for the fixed income portion of my portfolio.
Via my discount brokerage account, I see annual yield between 3% and 4.5% for terms between 3 and 4 years for bonds issued by big banks or Lifeco. If I hold to maturity, am I correct my annual return will be the annual yield?
Also, anything to watch for with these securities? To make my life easier, I was planning on buying a few larger positions to balance my portfolio (as opposed to the typical 7% max stock position for the equiy portion of the portfolio).
Thank you for your help.

Q: Hi,
Although these stocks are not alike, which two would be your top choices for the next few years based on growth, dividend, possible recession, manageable volatility, and momentum? Please explain why as well.

Q: Peter; Are the “ generalists” in the energy sector yet- and if not what are they waiting for? Thanks.Rod
Q: Hello, I see a question was asked about this company a couple of years ago. I'm wondering what you're thoughts are on TNDM given its recent release of financial results.
Q: On April 5th I asked a question about STEP Energy, and bought it after your answer - it has been the main green streak in my portfolio, and I now have a double. It has 7 analyst buys on the RBC Direct trading site - do you think these are up to date? Do you know what the consensus has on it for a projected stock price? Do you think it still has "legs"? Thanks!
Q: Eric Nuttal appeared on BNN on Friday. He is very bullish on both of these stocks. My questions 1) Do you still feel that there is a significant upside in oil stocks in general? 2) What are your thoughts on these two stocks 3) What is the better investment now - quality gas stocks or quality oil stocks
Q: Hello,
With GIC rates now getting interesting, would you know if we can benefit within a discount brokerage account (i.e. buy a GIC or similar guarantee product within a trading account).
The idea is to invest the cash balances in my RRSP & TFSA accounts.
Thank you,
