Q: Hellio 5i,
ZIM has a dividend that is higher than its price. I never saw that before in a company. Should I take the huge loss and get out now or just bide my time until this whole mess is over? I can wait while collecting the dividend if this is considered no big deal, even if it does appear not quite normal.

Q: According to Rbc action direct …. a 4.75$ / 105% yield. Also close to 52 week low.
What’s the risk reward for taking a small position in this company?
Thanks

Q: Hello 5i,
Even with the great financial position it is in with almost 4 billion and little debt, is it time to let ZIM go or hang in for the long haul? All the signs that scream "SELL: are not there, no change in direction, no change in administration, no cut in dividend, in fact even a share buyback scheme is in place. So is it a keeper and just hang in or get out and absorb the losses?

Q: Hello 5i,
Zim. once the darling of the stock reporting media now seems to turn out to be a goat.
1. Was it a "pump and dump" scheme or does it still have legs after this present mist clears?
2. Is there any news as to why it has dropped so much so quickly?
3. Should I just move on or leave it and collect the dividends until its resurrection?
Please take as many credits as needed.
thank you

Q: I own a few hundred shares in Zim largely for the dividend. Today they announced an increase in the quarterly dividend payable Sept 8th to $4.75 yet the shares dropped from over $50. US to under $48. Can you explain this strange behavior. I would have expected it to go the other way.

Q: Hi
Is this still a good time to buy the shippers.
1. Is there an etf for them
2. What would your top 2-3 shippers be?
3. Would your favorites include GOGL, ZIM or SBLK?
Thanks.

Q: Hello 5i Team,
I own ZIM in my TSFA and RRSP. I expected they would withhold tax in TSFA; however I was surprised they did in my RRSP. The $17 dividend was very nice, but the 25% withholding tax was not so much. My buddy mentioned I need to fill out some form my RRSP. I don't know. Perhaps, it's because they are Israeli domiciled?
Thank you,
Brent

Q: Any idea why ZIM has been pulling back so sharply? I expected a large drop ex-div but it continues almost daily.
Thanks,

Q: Could you please help me understand the dividend yield that is calculated for ZIM. Your company profile shows its last price at $72.34 with a dividend of 17.00 and a yield of 94.001. It seems that is calculated assuming that dividend is paid for the next 3 quarters i.e., (17.00 x 4)/72.34 = 94.001%. Seems pretty (too) good to me BUT before the 17.00 dividend they paid 2.50 in December (as near as I can tell with my limited tools). Do you think it is reasonable to assume that ZIM will pay 17.00 in the next 3 quarters? Do you like the stock? Thanks again. Dan
Q: Good Morning.
With regards to ZIM shipping, I have read that they have a 25% holding policy. This stock is in my LIF account. Will Israël our non taxable account to distribute the full dividend amount to me? Thank you.

Q: As an addendum to my question re ZIM with holding tax, what is your opinion of this stock?
Is it a decent investment?

Q: KEN is a holding company that has had quite a rise in share price over the last two years .....It has a 59% position in OPC Energy ...... A 26% interest in the shipping company ZIM and 12% in QOROS a Chinese auto company ..... Could you give me some details on these three companies ? And growth going forward ? At first blush it looks like a conservative company with a juicy dividend and a rising share price .... Also in your last question on the company you mention a 9.6% yield ..... My TD Waterhouse account shows 7.6% and Yahoo Finance shows 12.9% ..... Could you confirm your 9.6% number .....Thanks Garth ......
Q: Hello 5i,
Though ZIM is on the NYSE, since it is non US, foreign owned, is it considered in the Global part of my portfolio?
Thank you

Q: Hello 5i
I am a value investor with some growth positions LSPD, LNS). Having learned from LSPD I trimmed some Leon's. The yield of ZIM seems excessive but the company has been improving over the years, dept is improving and it is showing a profit. Is the yield sustainable? Does it fir a profile as a value investor with 10 year outlook in need of industrials and global invesment?
Thank you

Thanks

Q: What is your opinion of this company? When I look it up you have no dividend. But in your TOP US DIVIDENDS in this month Money Saver it states 24.85% dividend. I don't chase dividends but the company does look interesting.
Thanks...you've helped make my year very good so far.

Q: Hi team,
I would like very much to read your take on the 3 following industrials, as growth stocks: ZIM-N, CRAI-Q and TGLS-Q (Technoglass). Would you buy it now or do you have better alternatives to suggest ?
Gratefully,
Jacques IDS
