Q: I am looking for the next Amazon or Constellation to put way for next 5 years.Can I have your thoughts on this. I was thinking of the two I mentioned along with SHOP, MSFT, BABA, 10 CENT, TESLA. What other names ? What do you think ? RAK

Q: I have held these two companies for 2 1/2 years and excluding dividends my gains are 7.1% and 4.6%; which are the lowest performing stocks in my balanced portfolio. Do you see any thing happening in the next few years in these companies to improve the share price; or should I expect more of the same? Would you consider these companies to be more suited to an income portfolio vs. a balanced portfolio?

Q: With the current difficulties with pipeline development and the negative view of oil sands, how do you view the risk profile of the pipeline business in general and would you rate the risk differently for these three companies?

Q: Whenever analysts talk about PBH (premium brands) or CSU (constellation) they inevitably talk about them being over-valued and due to fall or tread water for a while. You've allowed both to rise to about the 6.5% level in the portfolio (as per the last record on your site) without trimming. Does that mean you disagree with the analysts, or simply don't care about a short term fallback of 10%-20% since you are confident they will eventually regain that and move past it?

Would you give me your thoughts on ACQ in light of their most recent earnings report, which led to a further sell-off in the stock price. Should I continue to hold the stock, with the view that it has potential, or should I move on? Thanks.

Q: Hi, I am wondering why you removed syz from your income portfolio (I believe that is where it was if I remember). It looks like today we had a bit of a break out and is making new highs. The stock doesn't seem to do anything on the flashy side on any given day, but seems to be chugging upwards with a decent dividend. Please advise on your current view and todays move through the prior highs. Could it be investors seeing potential and moving into the name after earnings? Thanks.

Q: I have been following the stock market, daily, for a half dozen years. And I never fail to be impressed at how brutal the market can be when a company fails to meet expectations. Today's 'victim du jour' is ZCL. Although it's not included in your current portfolio choices, my impression is that it's a decent company. After 2017 Q3 it was hammered with a 20% drop in stock price. Then gradually gained ground through to yesterday's 2018 Q1 report. An approximate 10% drop, as a result. What I've learned, and appreciate, from following 5i, is the importance of not catastrophizing after a bad quarter -- but to take a much longer view -- and to remain with what has been a reliable dividend payor throughout.
