Q: Which 4 sectors do you think have the the strongest current momentum? Please give me 2 or 3 companies in each sector that you believe have the best chance to maintain their current upward trajectory. They can be either Canadian or American equities.
Q: Good morning 5i, I am piggy backing off a recent question by James, but if you can disregard sector diversification and risk is also not an issue and main goal of course is capital appreciation.
"If you were starting a new account with 100k with a portfolio of 10 US equities, with a 10 year time frame, which 10 would you currently choose?"
Q: Can you please give me your thoughts on this company. With all the negativity regarding Huawei which I do not feel will end anytime soon I am thinking there is an opportunity here. Technically it has been acting better recently.
Thanks
Q: On line transactions really do seem the way of the future. A reliable legal signature would also seem to be a major requirement. Is DOCU the way this need will be met? Do they have any serious competitors? Do you see DOCU as a good investment for growth?
Thanks.
Q: According to the 5i portfolio analyzer, I am underweight consumer defensive and industrials - can you provide your top 6 recommended buys for each sector. Ideally 3 in the US and 3 in Canada for each sector. (ranked on most attractive price entry today) Thanks.
Q: I have about 50% of my portfolio in US stocks : ADBE, AMZN, TEAM, MA, MFST, & AYX.
I have 20K USD & i want to open another position and Im thinking about NFLX.
Please sugest mi if NFLX is my best choice on the market to compliment my existing selection or sugeest to me your choice instead of NFLX and 3 different US stocks.

Q: Could you please explain the following questions in terms easily understood. Price/earnings - what are reasonable numbers/the low and high end and I gather the lower the better - is that correct? Debt to equity ratio - same thing as above but 1.15 - is that $1.15 in debt for every dollar you own? Price to book - what kind of numbers am I looking for there, i.e. if the price is $80.00 and the book is $40.00 - is it 2x book?
Q: I'm a little concerned about the trade tension, possible 2nd wave of the virus, protesting, economic risk, etc.
Do you think we need to do something in case the market crash?
Currently I hold the above 4 stocks plus 20% cash. Are they safe? Any other stocks that you recommend?
Thanks!
Q: Hi,
This question is more curiosity than anything - is there a reason that on May 29th the volume on the TSX actually appears to have exceeded any of the days in March as the markets slid worldwide? I thought that as a market recovers, often the volume decreases as things settle down, so the May 29th spike piqued my curiosity. I use Stockcharts.com and saw this on a daily chart. Thanks for all your hard work educating us!

Q: Hello there,
I have some funds to invest in the next week or so and I'm looking at LSPD and REAL. Originally I was going to buy LSPD only, looking to hold for at least the next 5 years +.
I have been watching REAL and its growth is looking strong over the next few years as well. Would you split the money between the two or would you lean toward one more than the other? Looking for max growth and risk not really a concern.
thanks
Q: Hi Peter & team
We went from about 95% cash just before the crash to 45% today. We've been expecting a drop to occur from Q2 results and thus are not fully back to where we were before Covid began. But we are also seeing the markets continue to float higher (tech, financials). We'd appreciate any guidance you can offer on the pros and cons of going back in more fully now or waiting 2-4 more months. Do you sense there is still a lot of cash waiting for another quarter to pass?
I read a statement that said, "Wealth is good provided everyone is wealthy". You are decisively helping that advance ...
Many thanks
Q: Have noticed some large block trades in this stock in the last few days and the stock inching up. Should we read something positive into this ? Thanks
Q: you indicate that you think management has performed well yet the performance of management is on the minus side for all three criteria on management performance Why the difference or is there underlying conditions that are not obvious to us that rely on information from your sources
Q: I have put together a portfolio of 11apartment and industrial REITS along with ZRE when the market was very low in April. I excluded NVU.UN because I thought it was going private and not going to be a public trust. Am I wrong here? Will the identity trade? Thanks in advance david
Q: I am divesting my recently deceased father-in-law's estate and seeking advice regarding the order in which I should be selling his equities over the next six months. He owns banks (BNS, BMO, RY, CIBC and TD); energy (SU, IMO, TRP) and OSB. Your thoughts most appreciated. Thanks.
