Q: What is your opinion of the discount retailer space in the US in general and Ross Stores specifically. I'm considering this for a well diversified RRSP and mostly a buy and hold investor.
Q: Hello 5i
Can you give me a brief update on the above companies regarding their respective growth prospects? Also which would be you top two?
Thank you
Dave
Q: I did a screen on "undervalued" companies with growing dividends. My aim is income and dividend growth. Possibly a DRIP if available. Which 2 companies would you choose and why?
Q: Hi Team,
There have been numerous corrections on Wall Street between the great depression of the 30s and to end of 2019. I would like to know the timeline and the extent of such pullbacks in excess of 15% during this period.
Cheers,
Q: hello 5i:
Despite being one of the largest auto manufacturers, there are NO questions on Tata Motors. While the charts for this company are not pretty, the upside looks huge to me. For a very small position (1-2%), can you give me your take on this company, please.
thanks
Paul L
Q: My question is about GC. Am reviewing my TFSA positions and am trying to decide whether to continue to hold or move on to something else. Short term seems to be "dead money" but longer term may see return to good growth. I am okay waiting for 3-5 yrs, but not if there is little growth over that time frame. What level of comfort do you have with the management team's near term execution and capex returns? The money laundering issues have seemed to die down somewhat. Do you think that there could be a take-over because of the current valuation?
Thanks
Q: Happy New Year. What do you expect from bad and gil in the coming year? Are you ok with starting a position in bam and dsg today or would you wait for a pullback? T Steve
Q: BNN just had an analyst on who is shorting LSPD because of another round of insider selling coming up near future he also stated that LSPD is vastly overpriced and is high risk. Are you still recommending this stock if so why?
Q: I noticed in the latest BlackRock circular that IWY (iShares Russell Top 200 Growth) has significantly outperformed IWO (iShares Russell 2000 Growth) based on the latest 1 year, 5 year, and 10 year published returns. I assume you like IWO since it is in your growth portfolio. Can you elaborate a little on if/why you might prefer IWO to IWY and would you endorse a switch to IWY at this time for someone already holding IWO?
Q: Helllo 5i,
My wife and I have about $20,000 each free in our TFSA. We are 73 yrs, value investors with a 5 year GIC ladder mostly in our TFSA. Should we fill it with more GIC's, move some stocks over to the TFSA from a non-registered account, buy new value stock, put in NFI and PSI (5-10 year outlook) or have a mix of all of the above?
Thank you
Stanley
Q: I currently hold TFII in my portfolio and am considering a switch to SIS for a long term hold. Which of the these two look best over the next 2 or 3 years to you? Is it worth a change?
Q: This stock had a great run in 2019. I missed buying it then although it was a great recommendation back around March. Given the appreciation in the stock would you still recommend to Initiate a position at these levels. Has the p/e expanded a lot in the last 12 months
