Q: I recently heard a podcast which said that buybacks generally benefit insiders and were actually illegal prior to the Clinton administration. I do notice myself that the stock price does not seem to rise much on the announcement of big buybacks and that companies seem to do it when the price is higher rather than times like these when it would seem most worthwhile.

What is your take on this?

Q: Looking at adding to a smallish position in Stelco, but recently saw an analyst recommend Champion Iron. I view Champion as similar to Stelco, being a high volatility business dependent on the pricing environment (iron ore/steel) of their product. I like STLC's large share buybacks, dividends, solid balance sheet and very cheap p/e multiple. With a major recession looking less likely, which do you prefer and why?

Q: The market has rallied nicely. I have some holdings ,non dividend paying ,that i have struggled with holding on to and have come back nicely Would now be a time to review ones stock holdings,maybe raise some cash in anticipation of slight pull back or considering a pause in rate hikes, would you go all in with growth stocks?
