Q: Hello,
Now we have vaccines in the market.
In this scenario , which sectors will be booming & what stocks would you suggest to have it for potential growth in future. I would like to invest in the US side.

Q: Good morning,
I am a retired investor with a 50/50 asset mix and an equity focus on solid dividend payers with some growth prospects. As a bond matures in my RRIF, reinvestment opportunities in fixed income are unattractive. With projections saying low rates will continue for some time, I'm wondering if it would be a good time to buy a rate reset preferred stock ETF for income, and as a hedge against future rate increases. I would appreciate your thoughts, and if you support it, which ETF would you suggest?

Q: Hello,
Regarding American companies, I am seeking recommendations for 2 long term hold positions. I have quite a high risk tolerance and prefer companies with a lot of room to grow. My current portfolio has relied heavily on FANG stocks and I am interested in consolidating those positions and redistributing to riskier but potentially more rewarding companies with good fundamentals.

Q: My 89 year old Mother-in-law has a couple hundred K, half in TFSA and half non registered. She is not in need of use of this money for regular everyday expenses. We are looking for recommendations of an investment in stocks or ETF's that would pay better than any financial institution will offer. Understanding low to medium risk.

Q: Hi Peter and Staff
Reference a question I just sent on industrials regarding my investment philosophy vis a vis risk level and number of stocks (ETF of my own for each sector).

I need to subside other income by about the same amount as my dividends earned however in using the water the flowers and pull the weeds I invest my dividends each month and sell something(s) for my draws.

Tomorrow I will have some funds for Consumer Staples......

1, If you were to own the 4 above, in what % would you own them?

2. IF you were to add for consideration WMT, PG and COST, please regig the % between the 7

Q: I am trying to understand Pfizer. In September it was trading at $36 and change. Today after all the good news about the vaccine it is at $39 and change. This seems like a small increase given the good it is doing and news, etc. However, if there were reports of a few bad reactions (or worse, sorry to say), the stock would tank. Can you help me understand this or maybe I am seeing it all wrong. Thanks again.

Q: What is your opinion regarding a general cash percentage allocation in a portfolio? If you had some would you suggest an alternative vehicle for a cash holding like an EFT or a mutual fund to hold a cash instead of banks which offer a dismal rates for straight cash holdings.

Q: When Peter last appeared on BNN Market call, I’m sure he mentioned that in fact stocks that are more expensive to buy outperform stocks that are cheaper. Could I get a clarification and if true, an explanation for that statement. I know some folks may stay away from an Amazon or Shopify simply because the price for one share seems so high. Thanks

Q: I'm curious your thoughts on the threat Redfin presents to Real Matters. In Redfin's investor presentation they mention their "Title Forward" service is part of their long term goal to provide a "Complete Solution" to a homebuyer. Do you think RDFN will begin to eat REAL's lunch by being in contact with a buyer earlier in the home buying process?
