Q: Hi 5i,
My US stocks : BABA, CSCO, FIS, MU, MSFT, NVDA are in my RIF. Should I substitute AYX or TEAM or something else, Morgan Stanley, KKR? And why? Take all credits necessary.
with thanks, Connie

Q: Hello Peter & team,
Have been away for a short while and am now happy to once again be a part of the 5i Family. My Question..
I have approx $20,000 to invest. It is a credit to your team how well the 5i Balanced Equity Portfolio has performed. I will not be ashamed to invest my funds via following your lead. In looking at the portfolio and with "Growth" in mind, are you able to advise which of the companies within the portfolio you would start new positions?
Thanks for all you do

Q: I understand that dividends on US-listed ETFs that hold US stocks, if held in a taxable account, are taxed as interest income. Would the same hold for individual US stocks?

Q: Hello,
I would appreciate your analysis of Brookfield Property Partner's latest earnings announcement.
Since 2014 the company has been raising their annual dividend by approximately 5% per year. In your opinion; would the earnings and commentary from their latest quarter point to more or less of a likelihood that they might again raise the dividend by 5%, in the coming year? (i.e. - One more payout at $0.33 followed by a new, higher, dividend rate for 2020) <-- I realize you are only able to speculate on such matters but your educated guess would be appreciated.
Thank you

Q: A recent article in The Economist ("Why everybody is concerned about corporate-bond liquidity - Investors expect to find sellers at all times, but dealers lack capacity to buy") predicted that the corporate bond market may be headed for trouble and a lot of BBB rated bonds may become junk. I own VSC ETF which contains about 33% BBB.
Looking at the daily VSC quotes I notice that "bid lots" have been vastly outnumbered by "ask lots" every time I have checked for the last few weeks. Is this a sign that the prices of corporate bonds (and corporate bond ETFs) are due for a drop?

Q: Can't believe how stocks are getting hammered on small misses in earning, etc. Are investors more nervous than usual and panic selling?
Q: Not a question but thought subscribers should know that while TD dropped their target by a buck to $74.00, both National Bank and Desjardins Securities actually upgraded their targets following these results. That may explain the nice recovery in the SP since the initial reaction yesterday morning.
Q: Good morning with this stock making a jump up today is there any news you can see that I have not been able to find? Do you think XTC could be a takeover target anytime soon? Thanks
Q: Is Chorus breaking out here? (above 8), what do you think of it here?
Q: Good Morning, Would you folks have a problem with buying MFI Maple Leaf Foods now that China Sounds like it will take beef and pork from Canada again ? Any other problems with MFI that you know of ? Your opinion is much appreciated . Thanks,Larry

Q: A bit of a reversal from the usual questions after a poor quarter - why isn't TOY stock getting hammered today after its rather drab results ala BAD? Would this suggest that the stock has now bottomed in terms of valuation? Or that this company is so highly thought of that this quarter is seen as an aberration and current stockholders see very positive results ahead? Does any of this suggest then that this a good time to add?
Appreciate your insight.
