Q: When Peter was on Market Call this morning he got a question about Russel Metals. One part of the discussion was on the likelihood of Trump putting tariffs on steel. As that is one of Trump's pet peeves I'm guessing that a steel tariff is going to be near the top of his list ...... What would be 5i's favorite steel companies to play this theme ?

Q: I own an equal weight of UBER in my portfolio but none of TSLA. Could you please describe the correlation between UBER and TSLA. It seems that when TSLA rises UBER falls. Q: In response to David Michael's inquiry about how much one needs to save for retirement. I found Michael H. Mc Clung's book Living Off Your Money essential reading. I refer to it regularly. He analyzes extensive historical data on different portfolios, and his purpose in writing the book was to show how it is possible to produce more income with less risk.

Q: Back in 2020, I started a position in ZUQ BMO US High Quality ETF. I still have a copy from your ETF & Mutual Fund Update from 2020/21 about your ETF Madness Contest. XAW was the winner and it narrowly beat ZUQ in the semi finals. In it you said, “Overall, we would be comfortable with ZUQ taking an average investor’s entire US equity portfolio.” ZUQ beat ZSP in 5 year returns according to BMO’s ETF Comparison Tool, ZUQ 17.7% average return vs ZSP 16.2% average return. I’m building my portfolio and soon will build up ZUQ to a 50% position. Q: I bought Hershey in my RRSP in mid-2024. While mostly known for chocolate, the company has been diversifying into non-chocolatey snacks. However, the stock price remains down due to high cocoa prices. Would you be content to hold Hershey and collect the dividend until cocoa prices drop? Would you have some other suggestions? I tend to go for boring US dividend payers that also have some growth potential in my RRSP. My top holdings right now are MSFT, COST, MA, BIP.UN, ENB, and O. I also hold VOO as an underlying holding.
