Q: I remember in the (i.e. Nortel -- I even worked as a contractor there -- one of a lot of tech stocks) days when they participated in a massive sell-off which took years to recover. Is this deja vu so to speak?

Q: close to it's 52 week high and you are recommending it for TFSA now. Why are you bullish on this stock?
Q: Good day gurus,
I took the plunge on Arch a couple of months ago.
So far so good.
What do you think about its prospects/future trend?
Regards,
Dave

Q: Thanks for your excellent work. I've recommended your service to friends and you now have made new clients.
Why is ENGH hated so much ? It's in a downtrend for more than 18 months now and I thought that they would find a near term bottom here with the last quarterly earnings report.
Let's recap, investors hate high growth high valuation stocks. Investors also dislike slow growth and decent PE. Where do you see fit ENGH ? I thought we would see the end of the death spiral with this earnings report. Nope, so I guess we are now just a few believers like me and the founder of course holding the bag.

Q: Hi Peter, Ryan, and Team,
Even though I share your positive outlook of Stella-Jones in your recent answer to Stuart, could SJ be a good candidate for tax-loss selling with the intention to buy it back later?
Your advice is always valuable and highly appreciated.

Q: If you tune out the noise on this company, is this a decent investment?
Q: AR's drop in share price has been precipitous to say the least. The last news item involved two things: the Magino construction costs and Pete Dougherty resigning.
I have two questions.
1. Which of those two news items would be more likely to have caused such a violent drop?
2. Is this an opportunity to establish a position given the strong fundamentals of the company? (for instance TMX Money says p/e is 6.4 while the p/b is .60) Didn't Ben Graham say that the way to make money is to buy a dollar worth of a company for less than a dollar?

Q: Where on the website do I find the short sellers report? Ie. stocks subject to short selling which should recover strongly in January.
Q: Hi Team,
I am just wondering why APPS is not on the Apple platform? Also would there be potential to be in the future, and would this be a catalyst for them? Or is this an impossibility? Thanks
Shane.

Q: Could you please update status on Bbtv? Any future for this company? Would you average down or sell? Will this bounce in January? Thanks
Q: I am down a fair amount on Paypal in a registered account. Seeking your opinion on selling, and placing funds elsewhere. Logic being I likely will recoup my loss faster elsewhere than waiting game with Paypal? Thoughts? Please share 2 ideas as a replacement. Thanks, and all the best
Q: I am considering this fund to diversify my fixed income holdings. I currently own VAB, VSB a GIC ladder. The plan is gradually to replace VSB and part of the GICs with LWF021. I would appreciate any comments you may have. Thank you.
Q: Everyone. When there is a downturn in the market I look for positives. This year I am still up more than 11%. In the last 10 years my house value has increased by a factor of 3 and my investments have increased by a factor of 12. Yes the stock market has gone down recently but in the long term - I am significantly better off. Have a great holiday season. Clayton

Q: Good morning,
I have recently discovered CDR's and would like to hear 5i's opinion of them. I am sure someone would have already asked so feel free to post a link to any answer you've already provided.
A few specific questions I have though, would include a) what benefit does CIBC get for creating these (e.g. seems like the kind of product that would have a mangement fee somewhere, but they don't....) b) is the NEO exchange a legit (e.g. acceredited, safe) exchange - I imagine it is but just want to hear it from you c) do you think they are liquid enough?
Thanks in advance. - Jeff

Q: Hi guys
In regard to Stella Jones I see it has hit a 52 low. In the past few months you have indicated it is cheap at higher levels. I remember in past years when it was the highest gaining stock on the TSX in a year. Any idea why it is so out of flavor, and what might be a spark that would see the stock move higher rather than lower?
Thanks
Stuart
