Q: I watched an informative youtube on the war in Iran . So the war is a long ways from being over and from what I heard has made aircraft carriers obsolete. New warfare is drones ,missiles and satellites . What companies large or small is one to look at .I know about Raytheon and Lockheed but what other ones would you put first.

Q: I read the following on Nate's substack: "The largest debt-funded infrastructure buildout in history has an unpriced dependency on a noble gas.

The five largest US cloud and AI infrastructure providers have committed to spending between $600 billion and $700 billion on capital expenditure this year. Seventy-five percent of it is AI infrastructure. Google’s co-founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin have reportedly said they’d rather go bankrupt than lose the AI race. Goldman Sachs projects total hyperscaler capex from 2025 through 2027 will reach $1.15 trillion. Every dollar of that spending assumes the chips arrive on schedule. The chips come from fabs in South Korea and Taiwan. Those fabs require helium to operate their lithography machines, cool their wafers, and detect leaks in their vacuum chambers. There is no substitute for helium in any of these processes.

A third of the world’s helium supply came from a single industrial complex in Qatar. That complex was hit by Iranian missiles three weeks ago. It is offline. Parts of it are destroyed. The strait through which its output ships is closed. And the specialized containers that carry liquid helium vaporize their contents within 48 days. The clock is already running."

Do you buy the argument that is being made by Nate about a very significant impact from a lack of helium? Do you think the impact has already been priced into the market? What would you suggest an investor do if he is invested in the affected mag 7 stocks?

Q: Overall, my portfolio is very balanced, but I have gone with higher growth in my TFSA. I hold GOOG, META, NVDA, NBIS, BN, AXON, MELI, LMN, and ZEO. I think I'm the first to ask about Xanadu. I'm tempted to buy it because it shares the name with Rush's 11 minute opus from A Farewell to Kings (pretty good album title too in light of this weekend's protests). But before pulling the trigger I thought I'd see if its on your radar yet.

Q: I am a retiree in my 70s and my wife and I are considering downsizing to one floor living in a condo. And we might rent a higher end unit vs. buying. To fund the rent I am considering putting a considerable sum - seven figures - into HMAX from the proceeds of the house sale. This is entirely separate from my investment portfolio which is diversified. While you obviously can't comment on such a personal decision what can you tell me about the history of the Hamilton funds and their owners and can you comment on the covered call strategy and Hamilton's abilities to apply it. Any other upsides or downsides are welcome. Thank you.

Q: Did you see the video by Mohnish Pabrai (buffet-mimicker) where he talks about CSU being at a price where he would jump in ie 2300 range vs SP 500 and his meeting with the former ceo. He stated that they look at 50-70000 companies per 2 year cycle and estimates that 2% or so might be up for grabs( due to retirement ceos etc). He feels like you have mentioned that AI MIGHT be a significant tailwind for them. I have held for over 15 years and bought some along the way but wondering about accumulating new shares-- is 2300 a good price for accumulation ? This time i think i will also add some in my tfsa due to the tax consequences. Incidentally he has a 5% holding in his wagon equity etf, and he holds topicus and i think lumine group as well. Q: A Wall street Journal article today paint a dire picture for LNG supply for the next few years. "Even if the Trump administration and Iran agree to end the war soon, the consequences for the LNG market will be long-lasting—and even more profound than for oil, experts say."
Even if the war ends overnight, it will take the gas market much longer to return to normal than oil,” A lot of the slack in the system used to be picked up by LNG, so the knock-on effects are massive.

My question: what stocks do you see that will benefit from this shortage of LNG?

Q: I am considering selling some BAM to realize a loss and adding it to BN. Any info about CRA not accepting the loss due to the relationship between the 2?
