Q: What is your opinion of these equities, in general and in the current environment? Are there any which you would consider for a long-term hold for income/growth? Or sell?

Q: CTC.A: I notice that you are not a fan of this company? Well, I looked at the 30 year graph this am., and, all I can say is: I wish I had bought it way back then. I did buy it in 2020 for $96.00. Always wanted to own, but always seemed expensive. I did this exercise for all my "dividend grower" stocks which make up the core of my investments (including all the banks which I own); and guess what? The graphs go up from left to right - so, my returns are huge without including all the dividends which I reinvested.
I'd love an analysis to support your negative view please. Look, will the internet and ordering on-line I can see why you might thing this way; however, CTC just keeps chugging along.

Q: Can you explain the difference between CDIC insurance and CIPF insurance? My understanding was that CDIC insurance covers bank accounts up to $100,000 each, and CIPF insurance covers investment/brokerage accounts, $1M limit each.
If I have $500,000 in my RRSP account with RBC Direct Investing, invested in a mix of Stocks, ETF's, GIC's and Cash, is that all covered under the CIPF insurance?
I'm confused when I see people's questions about trying to spread their money out to stay under the $100,000 limit, when they seem to be talking about investment accounts.... Thank you!

Q: Hi Peter,

How would you rank the following five Brookfield companies (BIP.UN, BIPC, BAM.A., BEP.UN, and BBU.UN) over a long-term hold with respect to risk-return? Which of the five securities has the highest risk and which one do you perceive has the lowest risk?

Q: Can you please provide a few US and Canadian companies that are not traditional growth or tech companies, but represent deep value at this time. Bonus if they pay a dividend as well.

Q: Hello 5i
I hold the above covdered call ETF's as well as at least two individual companies from each (from before I bought these). also have over 10 ETF's that are not cover call. I have 51 positions with 49 stocks. These have performed well during this period of unrest. No they do not hit the high notes but not even close to bottom notes either but steadil;y increase in value aside from the dividends. My question is: with these new covered call ETF's at 12% of my investing portfolio (not including GIC's) might this be considered too much? Each is between 1.5% and 2% of the portfolio as are most of my holdings. The dividends are great and have kept up for the last three months. These also hold great companies that I would hold if I had room (and funds to buy them!) as a value investor. Please take as many credits as required.

Q: Good morning and thanks for the role you fill in my investment decision making. I hold ECN.Pr.C (along with HPR and ZPR) and have for years. I have a decision to make regarding conversion. As I understand it I can do nothing and continue at a higher rate of return; convert to a floating rate and have it reset quarterly. Could you please confirm my choices along with your recommendation. Is this a buy and, if not, are there better alternatives? 3-5 year timeline.

Q: I hold the above utilities and have seen many recent questions on these. I believe our electrification demands will continue to rise very significantly over the next few decades.
I am retired and mainly looking for dividend growth and some, or good overall growth. Please rank as to which you think has the best outlook over next 5 years or more. I hold similar amounts of each? Would you add to one or two mainly or equally to all?
