Q: Conservative investor, given where markets are trading....and Trump. Seeking a 4+% yield with reasonable safety of principle in mind. In a 50/50 fund, what percentage of fixed income would you place in ZLC. Might a better approach be to just raise the total equity allocation instead by adding some US holdings, like ZWH for example? I realize you don't know all my details, just looking for a general comparison. Fantastic service, thanks.

Q: Early last year we invested 25% of our cash into the listed ETF's. We have another 50% of our cash in GIC's and 25% in an assortment of stocks. As you know they pay good dividends and we experienced good capitol gains growth on some of them last year, others were up marginally. We are looking at these as long term holds for income and would just like your thoughts on our choices. Would you recommend a different mix of ETF's.
Thanks Ron

Q: Non-resident tax, I'm considering to reduce my percentage of U.S. contents gradually, since nobody knows what to expect from donald...
Hopefully, this eventual new tariff policy wouldn't affect RSSP .
As you notice, some of the ETF posted are all U.S, companies in the case of XHY and NHYB, they both are mainly Bonds or gvt.Bonds, how tariff could affect the two.?
Thanks again to the team

Q: I am an 80 year old income investor with some growth. I have $20,000 to employ. The above is a list of my losers out of 50 winners in a portfolio of mostly the Income Portfolio plus 15 yield maximizer ETF's like UMAX. Should I:
1. wait for your monthly advice before acting
2. distribute evenly accross the losers
3. add to the winners
Any other suggestions would be appreciated.
Please take as many credits as needed.

Q: Good Morning
I would like to increase my US position in my RRSP. I currently cover this US exposure through VBAL(core position) VFV approx 4.5%, Legacy positions of ZLU and ZWH approx, 3%, totaling approx. 31% US. My thoughts were to replace ZLU/ZWH and increase VFV and add EQL to gain broader exposure to US market. Would this give me a good exposure without over duplication? I am retired and 65 and would like a balanced plus approach. Your thoughts or other ideas would be appreciated.
Thank you,
Mike

Recon Capital NASDAQ-100 Covered Call ETF (QYLD $17.68)
Q: Just opened a new TFSA. Looking for advice on how to invest the 15K. I am retired and would like a yield of 7% or higher while at the same time protecting the capital (I do hold PSA in my RRSP account and it offers ~5% limited risk return ... so if I can't get at least 7% from something else then why bother). I'm thinking an ETF might be the best route for diversification. I want to avoid ETF's with high ROC,"higher" risk, etc. Not adverse to covered calls. Any words of wisdom for me ?
