Q: Hi guys.
Feeling a bit deflated. I joined pretty recently and decided to take a chunk of cash and put into your highest rated stocks above. In a short couple of months I am down almost 10%. Every one has lost money. Are they still all in favour. Do I just plug my nose and wait? Also, I have some short term cash I need to park. Was going to put half in Apple with the recent pull back....thoughts? Any other ideas for a two month hold?
thank you

Q: I have opened an RESP for my 5month old with 3K in it (2500 plus 500 from govt). I know its small the first year, but I don't want to add a Canadian ETF as they are too oil and gas and financial focused.
I would like to own some good Canadian growth names that will hopefully be worth a lot when she heads off to school in 18 years and would like to keep it small since it is a small account to start. My idea was the following 7: GUD, SHOP, SIS, T, TD, AQN, PBH. I would like your opinion on them. Would you do anything differently?
Once I own all of the Canadian stocks my plan is to add XAW for world diversification.
What do you think of this idea? Which stocks would you add to the account first? I was thinking of starting with either 3 of 1K each or 4 of 750 each. I pay 7 dollars to buy them which isn't too bad.
What order would you add in?
With only 3K per year in the account it would take 3 years to get the stocks and ETF. I could just add another 2500 to the account now so that I can buy more of it now and be instantly diversified. I would not receive the grant on it but would I still receive future grants?

Q: Hi 5i Team,
I have PD and I am currently down close to 40%. I am interested in selling and moving the remained of the money into GUD. I feel like PD is dead money for a long time. What are your thoughts on this trade?
Thank you.
Francesco

Q: I want to consolidate two holdings above into one stock. Which would recommend to keep in a TFSA long term hold?
Q: I have a small amount of cash sitting in my TFSA. What would be the growthier play in your opinion? Photon or Knight? They are both down significantly and appear to be good buying opportunities.
Q: GUD at 9.75
Something impending to occur shortly ?
The stock is surprisingly low. Is all this normal ?
I entered GUD at 10.15. Better to stay in at this point ?

Q: 2 question : So bomber has bounced a bit so time for me to suck it up and sell at a 30% loss. Sell now or hold off a few more days to see if it has some legs.
Once I sell BBD.b what full position of the balanced equity portfolio would you buy right now: ccl, gud, nfi, sis, sj, syz, t or toy? Currently rebalancing my CAD equity portfolio to loosely match your portfolio and those above fill gaps in my allocation. Open to off the list suggestions but already overweigh or OK in financials, energy and tech.

Q: I am wondering whether it is time for me to dump these two and put the money into something with a bit more of an uptrend. Am thinking of SIS for one. What's your opinion on the future trends of these three for the next 1 - 2 yrs?
Q: i agree with stevens question on knight.
i owned 40,000 shares of knight, i have been in since 6.00, now i have only 12,000 shares.i did well but honestly i expected more.
it is unlikely that jonathan goodman will do anything with his 760 million stash in 2017 , he is looking to buy something for almost nothing and what bothers me more than anything, is he raised money 4 times diluted the stock each time and then did nothing with the money and he clearly states it is a stock for your grandkids, so we could be waiting a decade or more and he also says paladin took 19 years to payoff.
my question is do you think maybe you are being too optimistic on this company especially since you have it in 2 portfolios.dave

Q: Knight Therapeutics (GUD) is my largest holding. Each morning, I get up and while doing the usual ten minute standing ab routine to get going, I wonder what Johnathan Goodman is doing. Unlike me, he has about $760M in cash in his pockets and, again unlike me, he seems unwilling to part with it. I completely understand this is a long term investment and I look at it as a form of security for our future but if he were to go out and buy "someone big" with a product line and a sales force, I can't help but dream that this stock will multiply significantly. Can you send him a message and tell him to start doing those ab exercises. He needs to get moving.
Am I being a little impatient and do you see any signs of activity that might be remotely encouraging?
Thanks.

Q: Hi,
I have always considered tech companies like OTEX, KXS, medical companies like GUD, CCL.b and food companies like ATD.b, MRU to be non cyclical or at least below-average, is this correct?
Could you please give a list of companies from BEST to OKAY.

Q: HI team,
I am looking to start a RESP with a 15+ year time line. My 5 month old son loves the stomach churning world of small cap investing, just like his old man. What are your thoughts on putting all 2500 of this year's contributions towards PHO at its current value. I was also considering allocating 1000 shares in PHO and the remaining in GUD. My thoughts are that we start off with some higher risk/growth opportunity, which can be throttled down as our time line decreases. I would appreciate any strategic guidance or alternative suggestions.
Thanks

Q: 5i research has always been big on gud. It appears that investors are becoming impatient waiting for the company to make a move while sitting on so much cash and the share price trading below $10 for the first time in a while. Is there anything to indicate that some type of purchase is in the offing? Thanks for your response.
Q: My wife and I just started out an resp for our 3 year old. We only have enough to start out with one position and are planing on adding a potion or two every year. We are ok with some risk at this stage. Can you recommend one or two stocks at his point in time with good potential over the next 5 to ten years? I was thinking GUD may be a good fit. You are the experts though.
Q: Can you rank the stocks best to worst in your opinion. These are the stock s that are in my healthcare sector which is 8% of my current portfolio. Would you add, swap or remove any of them? I am unsure of CRH. My portfolio holdings/thoughts are very similar to your BE Portfolio. Thank you
Q: Your April 27, 2017 response says GUD's patience does not mean anything is wrong. Goodman is currently away in Israel for discussion with Medison
Biotech. Hope GUD goes commercial in 2017. Any comment on this move ?
