Q: Given the comparable valuations would it make sense to sell my position in Enghouse and buy an equal weighting in Descartes so as to remain in the tech sector? That is to say does Descartes have a larger gain ahead of it over the next 1-2 years?

Thanks
Robert

Q: I think I may have experience a time out, so apologize if i have dupliacted this.
Not a question, but a comment in response to the posting of the Globe and Mail article referring to ``PHM in Steep decline``. First off, this article may be misleading to members as it was written on Oct.19th. The SP for PHM has increased since then and by roughly 30% in the last 5 days. I am quite pleased with this as I thought I was fortunate when I had a buying opportunity at $.63. You can imagine my chagrin when the price maintained its downward spiral and hit a low of $.44. I held for the same reason I bought. Despite the ugly series of events that precipitated the downward trend, I felt the fundamentals supported the thesis that this stock was unjustly oversold. I experienced the same scenario with Concordia. I excitedly bought CXR at $54. Then, out of a sense of recouping some of my loss, I bought at $45. We all know the story, and I feel fortunate to have bought my last lot at $30. By doing so, I was able to average my cost to $44. Today the stock is over $50. I only wish I had the fortitude to have bought at its ``bottom`` of $25. Needless to say, during a negative Market backdrop, I am thankful that I maintained my confidence in the fundamentals of these two stocks and feel they both have tremendous upside. Thank you to 5i for your guidance in teaching us to recognize true fundamentals, and my simple message to other new investors and members of 5i … try not to be overly swayed by all that is written by the `` Talking Heads``
Thank you, Rick

Q: Some guys in my stock group think oil is a real long term dud beause of American shale. The infer it is much worse than people suspect from the supply side, indicating the US has just scratched the surface on their ability to recover this cheap oil.If I heeded this news it would discourage me from ever buying any oil stock in the future since demand will never come close to making up for this new technology which is also allegedly being exported all over the world. Do you think this idea is over blown, for the short and long term

Q: Hello, Pretty much every healthcare stock is up today at least 5 percent, some over 10 percent. Is the healthcare crash over now and is it in recovery? I really want to add to some of my healthcare positions but wanted to wait until we were in a rally to prevent further losses. What signs should I be looking for to distinguish between a short term blip and an actual recovery? Where do you see health care going in 2016?

Q: Hi,

Along with others, it does seem that the length of questions can be sometimes tedious and really represent multiple questions or discussion points.

I believe you may have intentions to introduce forums.

If so, would you consider enforcing Twitter-like length limits on your questions and push the more involved ones to forums?

Keep up the great work. Thank you.

Michael

Q: Hi 5i,
Just an FYI. This is a quote from a press release I found on Globeinvestor in the off chance some people might have missed it: "Amaya intends to use its investor relations website as a means of disclosing material information to its investors and others and for complying with its disclosure obligations under applicable securities laws. Accordingly, investors and others should monitor the website in addition to following Amaya's press releases, securities filings and public conference calls and webcasts. This list may be updated from time to time."
If others have passed this information along, just disregard it.
All the best,
Cheers,
Mike

Q: Just a comment related to the questions of Jeff and Brian: It appears that this issue is eligible for the dividend tax credit, as it is from a Canadian company (and traded on the TSX). This makes this US-dollar pref all the more appealing.

At $2.00 copper are they pushed out in the next calendar year?
I have a substantial loss in this, what would you do?

Q: I am thinking of investing long term (10-20 years) in a REIT and was wondering about your thoughts on Northview apartments. Which recently was a merge between Northern property REIT and True north apartment REIT trust.
Since it is at a 52 week low, I was wondering if it is a good time to get in. Else do you have other suggestions for REITS.

Thanks,
Andrew

Q: Hi Peter,

I'm calling on your many years of trading expertise for this question.

In 7 days CXR is up 33%. Is that short covering, a dead cat bounce or do you think the stock has bottomed?

In short would you take a full portfolio position on CXR at this point?

Thanks

Q: Hi,
I have all of the growth portfolio stocks, most of which are held in my tfsa. I understand the risks involved and that it's been a tough year, but I'm hoping over time this portfolio will do very well. I have just added new money for this year's contribution. Which companies would you see as the best opportunities right now. What would be say - your top five.
thanks
