Q: since BAM.A IS SPINNING OFF A NEW MGT COMPANY do you think BX. might do the same thing? also what is your current view of BX. apparently it currently has a PEG of one thanks Richard
Q: If I was to buy a stock on the OTKPKS , instead of on the London stock exchange in the sterling pound, will I still enjoy the gains made by the corporation in terms of profit from sales made outside the U.K, from the falling value of the pound.
Thanks Gord
Q: Market Call - David Driscoll - He said that at the top of the market (S&P 500) people were ready to pay 26 times earnings. $26.00 for every dollar of earnings - it is now 20 times earnings. He said that in the last big market correction, earnings went to 16 times earnings. That is what he is waiting for before he puts his money to work. Your take on this?
Thanks,
Q: if you own say 100 shares of BAM.A. how many shares of the new asset mgt company will you receive? also what is your best guess as to the opening price per share of the newly company? or has brookfield already suggested as to the value of say one share of the new company? thanks Richard
Q: I would like to get your general thoughts on dipping into margin at times such as these to chip away on the buy side wall markets are off all-time highs. Assuming margin ratios are kept reasonable, the investor understands the risks, and an effort is made to reduce them once markets froth again, would this be a reasonable (albeit inherently risky) way to potentially profit from a drawdown?
Q: Hi Peter,
I am going to buy $25,000 of BRKB Berkshire Hathaway. I have both US and Cdn dollars available.
Should I buy on the NYSE or on the NEO exchange?
I am also thinking of buying a third at a time over next year. Is this a good strategy as I think the markets will go down further?
Thanks Ron
Q: I have sold AMZN and TTD to harvest a tax loss. I will buy both after 30 days. Can you suggest proxies for either or both of these or is it best to just wait it out.
Q: Hi, I would appreciate if you can recommend some dividend paying companies with strong balance sheet, steady dividend increase and have not cut dividend in past. I am looking for names which have sold with general market and are at attractive valuations.
Thanks.
Q: private question that i ill keep private is xbc their outlook beside their last quarter ok and were can i get a quality back up to find info on companies for reserch purposes
Q: In yesterday's question on Xebec I meant to make it a public question instead of a private one so please feel free to post. I read your answer to the other question that day and it answers mine very well. In it you mentioned the valuation gap between XBC and its peers. Could you name some of those peers. I am considering selling at least half my position in Xebec and purchasing something in the same space. Thanks.
Q: The trend is negative breaking support. What is your take on IAG now and for the next two years? Should I take a capital loss and sell now or hold onto the stock?
