Q: Hi Guys - I am looking for 2-3 "core" ideas to invest in for the next 3-5 years to provide solid gains but also a couple of potential "home runs" - ideas that can go up 2-5x (but obviously have risk associated). Which names are you most excited about?

Thanks in advance,

Dave

Q: In addition to diversified RSP, RIF, TFSA accounts, I have a small Trading account that I use for 'nice to have' rather than 'need to have'.
I have sold Photon and Reliq recently for tax loss and have 22% in cash which I would like to redeploy. In this account I am willing to take higher than average risk.
Current holdings are COV 9% (with small loss), TSGI 43% and SYZ 26% (both with good profit). Your suggestions for one or two stocks that you think have higher than average growth potential in the coming year would be appreciated.
Re your recent update reports - good timing with so much going on and I liked the format
Thanks as always.

Q: Hi Peter and Team,

It definitely has been a wild ride on the markets recently. Thanks for your messages about taking a measured approach during times like this. The portfolio approach definitely works, as the valuations are not swinging as much as if I had only a few stocks.

That said, I have set aside cash for times like this and I am trying to figure out what to buy. I follow the balance portfolio model and have some stocks from the growth portfolio added to the mix. Would it be a good time to add to one or all of my positions to PBH or KXS or BNS?

Thanks.

Q: I'm looking for a straightly growth stock for the next two years. What would be your preference between GSY and SHOP, or you have a even better one (or ones) than these two. Thanks.

Q: For the most part off the top of your head, can you provide a list of highly regarded Canadian companies with oversized eps growth expected from 2018 to 2019.

A few to get us started, in my opinion, include...
WSP - 2018 eps = $3.11; 2019 eps = $3.79; 22% eps growth
PBH - 2018 eps = $4.08; 2019 eps = $5.34; 31% eps growth
PKI - 2018 eps = $1.56; 2019 eps = $2.69; 72% eps growth
KXS - 2018 eps = $0.99; 2019 eps = $1.34; 34% eps growth

Thanks.
