Q: Can I get your thoughts on the finding that it is 13 times more expensive to mine certain metals, copper and gold in this study, from ore than through 'urban mining'. Are there public companies currently doing this in North America? Any that have plans to or are looking into it? Thanks.

Q: Hello 5i team,
Do you give any credence to Z scores? My take is that the values may depend on the sector. For instance in the utilities; AGN, BIP, BEP, EMA all have scores below 1 ranging from .45 to .82 and thus doomed to failure! KWH, SPB ,and VNR ave from 2.02 to 3.53. Thus the sector is all over the place. In what context would these scores be used, if at all?
Thank you
Stanley

Q: Hi,

My portfolio is a bit light (5.8%) on Industrials than I would like (10%). I currently hold CAE (1.25%), XYL (2.5%) and SIS (2%). For a relatively conservative investor, what would be your top 3 recommendations?

Q: Hi Peter
I currently own both railways. CP does not produce much in the way of a dividend while CN does.
I depend on Dividends for my retirement, and am looking for for cash flow. I notice ALTA Gas pays 9% and has done so for some time. Would it be advisable to sell my CP and buy into ALTA. I currently hold 400 shares of CP and 800 of CN
Thank you
John

Q: I sold these stocks mainly due to the fact that they are down 20% from my cost base and needed some Losses to offset some Gains. My decision now is to either repurchase these 30+ days forward or buy some other stocks to replace these. I have a long time frame and a balanced portfolio. Your suggestions would be appreciated. Stephen

Q: Good day,
Should I be concerned by the decline in AW ? Its been going down $10 last year. While I am still in positive territory, I used to have a really great return on this one and I don't recall any particular bad news. What has changed and what the future looks like in your opinion. Please recommend 2-3 safe income stocks with upside potential and tell me if you recommend to swap. Its in a RESP. Thanks!!

Q: I realize 5i refers to this type of stuff as noise but hopefully you can elaborate a bit about these comments made in the media. Seeking Alpha reported that Amazon might be getting their own type of pay system which will affect PayPal and Square and notice these two stocks dropped off more than the norm on Friday.
MU - Micron - I read the same article as another member about Micron was downgraded with a low target price. The following day, Seeking Alpha posted pictures of Micron's headquarters stating that at this price Micron was a definite buy and they had a good article on all of the great things about it and a high target price I believe of $75.00. Who do you believe?
A regular analyst on BNN - David Price was stating how he felt the market would not hold the February lows and was showing some charts and saying when it got down around the old lows the automated trading would kick in and the market is going to go quite a bit lower. He sees it as a rough couple of months and more or less said that it would be 2019 before things come along. David Price back when oil got down to the $40 mark, some time ago he said oil would be going to $20. He was wrong. Let us hope he is wrong again. Your thoughts.
