Q: Good morning 5i team
How much of a strategic threat does 5i feel global Fintech is to the largest Canadian banks? And, what do you the Canadian banks doing to ensure their competitive position?
The July 17th Economist article "The funding frenzy" notes "a funding round in June valued Klarna, a Swedish 'buy now, pay later' start-up at US$46 billion." They quote other similar examples. Smart folks are making these investment decisions in finch start-ups What should the small investor be considering today about their investments in Canadian banks?
Thank you.
Edward

NVIDIA Corporation (NVDA $183.16)

QUALCOMM Incorporated (QCOM $153.59)
Q: I hope all is well. My portfolio is reasonably well diversified (in my opinion) and I have some extra cash to invest in an unregistered account. Would you have any reservations about investing in theses three stocks equally i.e., NVDA, QCOM, MU (it would be a relatively small position in each). I know you like the first two but I don't understand what the issues would be with MU. Thanks again.
Q: How do you feel on downgrade of Telus by Morgan Stanley on the 5G auction and the comments on debt levels of telecoms.

Q: I was wondering if you could please provide me with an update of this company and whether you like it as a growth company going forward. I understand it is a very valuable company in the planning, design and construction of chips.
Thanks
Dave.
Thanks

Q: I had planned to buy TIXT as my next Tech purchase but it has been trending down (down 2% today as I write this) and I do not buy on bad momentum. However, it is getting near ist price the week of its issue and 5I are positive on it long term. I realize you cannot pick bottoms but is there a price wher you feel it "should not go lower"
Q: Could I please have your view on this company? I have a small position and wonder if I should add more on the pull back.

Q: In a receent article in Barrons a 'new' sector called 'observability' was referenced. This is a fancy word for companies that provide third party mangement of IT infrastructure of I assume large companies. They touted Datadog and Dynatrace as opportunities although expensive on an EPS basis. Any thoughts on the sector and these stocks?
