Q: I know you generally have a favorable opinion on Enbridge, but I have a hard time getting past a couple of things about the company:

1. Debt load - While their cash flows have been increasing, so has their LTD. And they don't seem to be in any hurry to pay it down. That, and with interest rates moving up, will the increased service costs not hamper their future dividend growth?

2. Dividend - It was not that long ago they were forecasting 7-10% div growth. Then they reduced it to 5-7 and then 3-5. The most recent increases are closer to 3% than 5.

While I acknowledge the things they provide are basically necessities (so we need companies like this), are the best days behind this stock? Do you see another stock that is akin to Enbridge 15-20 years ago in terms of growth / dividend growth?

Thanks in advance. I appreciate the service you provide.

Q: Hi folks
Today Feb 6, XLE is $85.45 as I type. I believe i read in the Q and A that you mentioned that if XLE dropped below $85.00 that the sector is rolling over. Is this still the case? If so what would you suggest I do if anything? My weighting is 9.5%. I own ENB, SHEL, HES, TOU, TVE, PEY, SU, PXT with each at varying weights. (ENB being the highest at 3.35% and I realize also a Utility)
Thankyou as always..much appreciated.

Q: I've reviewed the financials, recognize micro-cap risk, and gas price drop off but no matter what gas companies, to sustain production (decreasing well outputs) or increase by even 5% to 8% per annum, require new production and so these two companies products are in demand. Recent results (last Q) were good improvements for both companies, though only SHLE has shown a market response. Can you do a quick financial and product comparison and indicate which you'd prefer over the other. I realize these are so small they are likely under your radar screen.

Thanks for all you do.

Q: Hello, could you provide some guidance around NPI. Seems investors did not like the 2023 guidance provided by the company on Feb 3, 2023. Was the guidance that bad? Adjusted EBITDA dropped from around 1.3 to 1.25 billion while the adjusted free cash flow dropped from $1.85-2.05 to $1.70 to 1.90. Price is close to a 2.5 year low. Thoughts going forward. Thanks.

Q: After NPI put out its guidance for 2023, the stock dropped 3% on Friday and set a new low for the year. I checked analysts estimates for 2023 and found an average drop in earnings of near 30% and a forward p/e of 21. Is that your estimate for 2023? And, if it is, how is it that the same analysts give it a consensus rating of buy to strong buy? Do you consider NPI a buy at its current price.
