Q: Hi 5i. Assuming in Canada there is pent up demand for travel, and dollars sitting in deposit accounts, what Canadian equities in the travel or hospitality space would one consider investing in once Covid-19 abates and travel restrictions are rescinded?
Please list any Canadian equities that you think will benefit from Canadians traveling again. Thanks

Q: My question is about investing in an index Exchange traded fund such as XEI, XRE, ZRE, etc.
How often do ETF (fund company) issue additional units/shares ?
Will additional issues of units dilute returns for medium to long term investors ? If yes how much of an impact would it have on returns and how significant would it be?

Q: Intc has been doing very badly of late, with Apple and Microsoft designing their own chip. I am thinking of selling Intc and replacing it with 2 or 3 technology companies, not necessarily in the chip sector. Intc is 2% of my portfolio. What would be your picks. Thanks

Q: I was fortunate to acquire DND at issue and have a nice profit. In reply to the recent questions about DND - specifically about 3-5 year hold for capital gains - you ranked it behind KXS, NVEI, XBC, although noting it is the largest/ safest among NVEI and XBC. My question is whether you would advise to sell all or part DND and reinvest in NVEI or XBC, which I do not presently own to maximize gains over 3-5 year time frame.

Q: This past week has a lot of concern raised over widespread security issues, not just in the US. Stocks in the sector all responded with huge upside. My question is really about FEYE and TENB which are much smaller than CRWD. Those 2 stocks traded at much higher volumes on Friday. Do they have some particular answer to this latest security breach that the larger companies may not have? Let me take this opportunity to wish everyone at 5i a merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

Q: Hi 5i! I have the above noted 5 ETFs in various dollar amounts in 5 different accounts. Average weight in each is less than 3%. The results have been varied with IYJ and VXUS beiong the strongest recently. I am thinking of consolidating 5 into 2 holdings, probably IYG and VXUS which would give me apporoximately 5% in each ETF. These 2 would complement each other since one is all US and the other non-US. Your thoughts please.

Q: Getting cash in lieu of a full share of BEPC seems a bit cheeky to me. We were supposed to get a full share for any fraction.
I received $31.81 for half share. A full share is would have been worth $63.62. At the close on Friday that share was worth $66.98.
I didn’t see any mention of cash in lieu of fractional shares. So as of Fridays close I’m out $35.09.
Does anyone else think the same way I do?

Q: I believe that with important monetary mass increase in the USA vs China (no increase in China ) , the yuan will rise significantly in the future; if I buy a Chinese stock on US market , will I get the advantage of the exchange rate and of a future strong yuan ? nb:In this sense Chinese bonds could also be promising.. Any general comments on this point of vue also?

Q: Seasons greetings from Nunavut... I'd like to start positions, however all are currently overvalued according to MS - I understand its difficult to value these types of stocks. So far I have a little of all of them, except TTD. Should I just buy??? Or wait till they pull back? Are there some you would buy now and others you'd wait and see?

Q: I'm down 60% on all three of these and finally taking the tax write off. The good news is that I can use it this year. Would you consider any worth buying back again after 30 days or not ? QST has been showing signs of life recently and perhaps CXI will recover when the world starts to travel again ? What would you do ?
