Q: Hi 5i

I bought ZPR (9.60) a few years ago below $10, sold a year or so later for 11.70. With it sub 10 again I am looking to repeat. Do you think div will stay close to current amount? And am I correct that it has moved down in step with interest rates due to the rate resets? Will this lead to it moving up again when we are in a rising rate environment?

Question: My understanding is that the CEO doesn't feel the need to go public right now because they already have plenty of financing from private investors. He says that Coveo has the potential to be the next Shopify. This is quite significant. By the way the president of LSPD sits on the board of Coveo. Based on your experience, do you think Coveo could become public within the next year? What do you think of this company? Thanks, Gervais

Q: I was thinking of putting $1,000 in 10 small caps before year end for total returns. My picks are Sangoma, Trican, Royal Nickel, Savaria, Aphria, Martello, The score, Questor, Photon and Well Health. I know you don’t give financial advice but is this a smart thing to do? Or would a big gain in one just offset all the potential losses? And are there any of these 10 companies you would not invest in and I know timeframe needs to be longer than a month! Lol

Q: Hello-I invested in both of the companies early this year. Williams share price has dropped and now yields an eye popping eight per cent. Is that sustainable? What are your thoughts on wmb. I am tempted to buy more. Also, Citibank gave a shout out to enbridge today and it’s current yields are also high. Your thoughts on enb please?

Q: Just a comment. I saw what CDJ stated re TR. It rated DRA.un a 9 out of 10 i.e. in the top 15% stock scored,only one analysts with a Buy rating and a $8 PT. On Nov 25,it is a stock on 5I Tech Analysis with a $7.70 break out.

I've dumped some underperforming stocks this month to harvest tax losses and so now am sitting on some cash to deploy.

Notwithstanding that I may repurchase a few that I still like after 30 days, I would love to get your "as-of-this-moment" Top 3 Canadian equities that you would throw some money at if it fell into your lap.

Criteria would be:

1. Must be Canadian
2. Sector is irrelevant - assume its a small part of a wider, well-balanced portfolio.
3. Dividends not relevant
4. Held in a cash account
5. 3-5 year hold

Q: Parabolic increase in valuation last week on above average volume. You stated in the past you prefer buying at all time highs. I have been burned in the past purchasing stocks at 52 week highs only to suffer immediate pullbacks. Is this a good opportunity for some short term capital appreciation at Friday's closing price of $6.17? Thank you

Q: I find it curious to read this and realize that a senior officer at SHOP owns so few shares of the company he works for. He owns less than I do.

If I'm correct he's the COO.
"Shopify Inc (TSE:SHOP) Senior Officer Harley Michael Finkelstein sold 416 shares of the business's stock in a transaction that occurred on Monday, November 25th. The shares were sold at an average price of C$413.77, for a total value of C$172,126.94. Following the completion of the sale, the insider now directly owns 517 shares of the company's stock, valued at approximately C$213,917.37. "

So my question is why would you guess would the COO of a fast growing company like SHOP own so little stock. Doesn't show a lot of confidence in the company to me.

Q: NXPI along with KODIAK Science which is up more than 100% in the last month, what are your opinions of the two stocks?
About the PE ratio - on my Globe Invest it has for instance 98.4 TTM (I do not know what that is), is that number too high for you if you were looking to purchase a stock with that number? What would be a more comfortable number? Thanks for providing info that the average investor would not know. Dennis
