Q: I am overweight financials and I am thinking of selling PWF, which has a nice yield but no growth, and replacing it with a non-financial large cap dividend growth stock of similar quality. I am looking at QSR which has a lower yield but hopefully more growth, and CCL.B which has an even lower yield but presumably higher growth. If not one of these, what would your top recommendations be in the large cap dividend growth space?
Q: Thoughts on starting a position in this name for 3-5 year hold. One of few stocks that is trading closer to 52 week low than 52 week high - over time do you Think this will perform well.
Q: Hi, I just have a question about holding CAD listed stocks that currently pay dividends in CAD$. If the stocks are also US listed, how do I go about getting the dividends in US$ if I wanted to?? Do I need to ask my broker to convert the cad stock to the US equivalent? In that case, would they just convert it at the current FX rate and would I get them to journal it over? Would I use norbert gambit to do this possibly to save on FX conversion? Any advice would be great!
Q: Hi team I asked a question on LSPD re claiming a loss. While that question was answered I also asked for a analysis of the company over the short term. Unfortunately the second part of the question did not get answered please analyze LSPD short term/long term also am looking at buying QSR can you also give your opinion thanks
Q: Good Afternoon,
I currently hold some TSGI shares in my TFSA and with the recent rally I'm almost back to even ( I know not a great investment strategy trying to break even). With the concern of increased regulatory risk around the takeover I am considering selling and jumping into QSR? According to the charts looks like support is in the $86 range and could turn around and challenge the recent high of around $106? If it breaks this could run to $128 technically speaking. The name looks interesting with Burger King and Popeye's, not so much Tim Horton's. Thoughts on this as a trade? Or perhaps sell TSGI and get into IPL or ENB, ENB looks like it's breaking out?
Thank-you
Q: I sold my PBH in the mid 90s, and am wondering if I should buy it back now, or is QSR a better buy today. I would it hold fit or a few years. Which do you prefer today, and why?
Q: I have been monitoring the above list of stocks. I have some cash to deploy in the names. Can you please list the above names in your preferred order to purchase them. Which ones you like the best? Should I wait for tax loss selling season to see more pressure on the names. Thank you for your opinion.
Q: I'm looking at the dividend return on the food royalty companies, which look very attractive. I don't own anything in this area. Is there an ETF that holds a bundle of these companies? If so, is that a good way to get in? Or rather, buy one or more companies. If so, which ones. Thanks!
Q: What's with the big drop of QSR in the last week or so? I am talking about two days in particular - the 10/15 823K shares 2.3% down and 10/22 (today) 725K shares 2.5% down. Both days have abnormal big volumes and big price drops. Is some major shareholders doing an exit at some negotiated prices?
Q: I would like to add to my position on this, but am concerned about the valuation.
According to Morningstar, consensus forward P/E is 17.67.
BUT, the TTM earnings are $2.24 per share. If the forward P/E is correct, the forward earnings would have to be north of $5 per share, which doesn't seem to me to be realistic.
What do you think is the forward P/E? If it is over 20, I would likely look elsewhere.
John
Q: These holdings represent 4.53 % of my consumer discretionary space and I would like to reduce by half. How would you rank them in order of what to keep.
