Q: Hello

This question is mainly for Peter because of his long experience.

It is obvious that rates will rise significantly in 2022 and maybe 2023 due to high inflation. And at the same time it also seems very likely that there will be a recession in 12 to 18 months. My question is how can central banks react in such an environment? Will they start cutting rates when the recession is on the horizon or is it possible that they will leave them stable for a more or less extended period, even in a recession?

Q: Hi 5i,

your web site says the D/E for DOL is 155.9.
This seems high and doesn't make a lot of sense because I believe you
like the stock. Can you help explain. What is the balance sheet of the company like? Do they have much debt to be concerned about in a rising interest rate environment?

Q: Hello, I am learning as I go, so maybe this is an uninformed question: if a stock that is traded on both the Canadian and U.S. market (e.g. FTS, AQN,BEPC), is purchased on the U.S. market, is that considered to be adding to my U.S. exposure? Is the exposure/allocation based on the market it is purchased in (CDN vs US) or is it based on the country that the company is located in as displayed in their profile details? My Canadian exposure is quite high right now, so i'm trying to learn to rebalance. thank you

Q: Just a quick follow up question on TFII. I've read companies like FDX and UPS are often seen as leading indicators on the economy, if Freight Rates at TFII are falling is that an indication that inflation is beginning to come down? Or would that be reading too much into the situation....thanks as always.

So, the deemed value of taxable spin off being essentially Zero, it's not required to be reported for Taxable Income in any form, for 2021 tax year - Is this the correct understanding ?

What should the ACB of the spin off shares used, when sold - Zero - For Capital Gain purposes ?

Q: I’m looking for a low cost (preferably)ETF that focuses on CDN Dividend growers as opposed to high yield,my thinking is if they have extra cash to grow the dividend their EPS must be growing which would hopefully lead to a higher share price,would I be right in assuming this and preferably an ETF with decent volume ……Thanks
