Q: Yesterday I noticed my book value of BEPC had dropped by about 30%. This morning my online self directed platform still hadn’t adjusted my shares owned to reflect a 3 for 2 split. How long should it take for my brokerage firm to show the correct number of shares owned and why would a company do a 3 for 2 split in the first place?

Q: Good morning, I need some assistance with an ETF I hold in my RRSP that has just been delisted;
KOL Vaneck Vectors ETF has been delisted after close December 14th, 2020. Its liquidation date is December 22, 2020. I have never had a delisted ETF. What are the options to receive payment with this delisted ETF and how/where do I figure out NAV payment calculated and to be received?

Q: I'm looking for your updated views on Inseego as it has been fairly flat since your last question in September. Their CEO was on Mad Money last week and I found the story he told to be compelling. I wonder if you could please describe what their position is within the market, who their main competitors are and what the total addressable market is as 5G gets rolling? Are we in the first or the fifth inning in terms of where INSG can run? At 1.5 billion in what I gather is a huge potential market it would be nice to know if you would rate it is a buy? Perhaps for good measure you can suggest if this has more or less room to run than Marvell and how they are different.

Q: Good morning. I am setting up RESP’s for infant grandson’s. I am thinking at this age the portfolio could be aggressive growth equities. There is only a small ($1000.00)initial amount that would be supplemented with small (one or two hundred dollar) irregular contributions. To avoid/reduce trading costs, in the beginning at least, it might be best to go with ETF’s which can be purchased at no cost? Would you agree? And if so can you suggest some aggressive growth type ETF’s. I am thinking XIT, Canadian tech companies could be one.

Q: Good morning,
I am a retired investor with a 50/50 asset mix and an equity focus on solid dividend payers with some growth prospects. As a bond matures in my RRIF, reinvestment opportunities in fixed income are unattractive. With projections saying low rates will continue for some time, I'm wondering if it would be a good time to buy a rate reset preferred stock ETF for income, and as a hedge against future rate increases. I would appreciate your thoughts, and if you support it, which ETF would you suggest?

Q: Hello,
Regarding American companies, I am seeking recommendations for 2 long term hold positions. I have quite a high risk tolerance and prefer companies with a lot of room to grow. My current portfolio has relied heavily on FANG stocks and I am interested in consolidating those positions and redistributing to riskier but potentially more rewarding companies with good fundamentals.

Q: My 89 year old Mother-in-law has a couple hundred K, half in TFSA and half non registered. She is not in need of use of this money for regular everyday expenses. We are looking for recommendations of an investment in stocks or ETF's that would pay better than any financial institution will offer. Understanding low to medium risk.

Q: Hi Peter and Staff
Reference a question I just sent on industrials regarding my investment philosophy vis a vis risk level and number of stocks (ETF of my own for each sector).

I need to subside other income by about the same amount as my dividends earned however in using the water the flowers and pull the weeds I invest my dividends each month and sell something(s) for my draws.

Tomorrow I will have some funds for Consumer Staples......

1, If you were to own the 4 above, in what % would you own them?

2. IF you were to add for consideration WMT, PG and COST, please regig the % between the 7

Q: I am trying to understand Pfizer. In September it was trading at $36 and change. Today after all the good news about the vaccine it is at $39 and change. This seems like a small increase given the good it is doing and news, etc. However, if there were reports of a few bad reactions (or worse, sorry to say), the stock would tank. Can you help me understand this or maybe I am seeing it all wrong. Thanks again.
