Q: Hello, I read with your interest your answer to Kolbi's question yesterday about growth stocks for TFSA. Regarding STN, it has an amazing chart and momentum. I see that WSP is in its peer group and is in 5i's BE portfolio. Would STN be preferred over WSP? Please provide reasons for yes or no. Many thanks.

Q: Hi Team,
Last month company issued equity at US$30.35 to acquired the renewal assets of Duke Energy. At the moment the units are trading below offer price. Do you see any upside in near future in its unit price if someone buys it now?
Is it a better choice over TCL.A or Alta Gas considering the growth and dividend increases in future? TCL.A and Alta Gas are different companies but both are dead for the past some years.
Your Views please.
Thanks

Q: Hi Peter, Ryan, and Team.
Would you endorse a switch from ZLU to VFV? When I look at the sector breakdown of ZLU, I notice that ZLU is heavy in sectors that probably should currently be under-represented, and very light in sectors that should have higher concentration. And of course, the MER of 0.08% for VFV is better than ZLUs of 0.30%.
ZLU is held in our Margin account, and VFV is already held in our RRIFs.
Thanks as always for the timely advice.

Q: hi,
can I get your latest thoughts on DND as a company, and it's prospects as an investment now. and your thoughts on their recent lawsuit against a smaller firm doing similar stuff DND does, except not gouging customers on price ( similar to the predatory practices of several drug companies ). their business model seems out of touch with today's values.

Q: Hi, I'm slowly transitioning from a growth portfolio to a dividend portfolio for retirement, starting with positions in JEPI and JEPQ. Can you suggest a couple of US and a couple of Canadian ETFs with high dividends (+6%) that would complement these two? Thanks!
Q: Hi, thanks to Peter, I am a long-term holder of CSU. As a result, I now have smaller positions in Lumine and Topicus as well, and while I have added to each of those special dividend holdings, I have three fairly similar holdings. I'm looking to pare down my holdings and wondering if you can divine which of the two spin-offs I should keep and add to with the sale of the other? I was leaning to dump TOI because of it's European exposure and it bears similarities to being a younger Constellation while Lumine may be more innovative and unique.

Q: As a dividend growth investor, with plan of living off of dividends well into retirement over the next 5 to 25 years (based on start of retirement and life expectancy assuming average Canadian life span), REGARDLESS OF SECTOR, what are your SAFEST and STRONGEST dividend paying stocks (with an equal emphasis on safety of dividend and strongest being quality of company).

Q: I've been continuing to hold NBLY and watching it continue to drop. It is now a 1% portfolio position. I read your answer about NBLY yesterday and wasn't entirely encouraged by the forward P/E and margins. For a 40 y/o investor who holds this stock in a LIRA (long term horizon), are the prospects so bright that we should wait out the eventual recovery? Or should I look to buy something with better potential in the shorter term?

Q: Odd Burger will be opening up a few new locations in multiple provinces. Does it have potential for success. There seems to be a lot of hype around it but are the moves they're making likely to work out well for investors?
Q: I have been looking at TCN for the growth small cap section of my non registered portfolio for a 2% allocation .The company seems well run, is in the fast growing US Southeast and has a decent dividend.
Two aspects I require help with: how would you assess its financial health and could you comment on its JV operations? Thanks. Derek.

Q: Hi Guys
NWC has had quite a decline from over $38 a month ago to a little over $30 today. What are your thoughts about the company at this point. Is it a buy with the price drop, is their market dominance in their markets somehow altered, will they return to form in the next year or so, and is it a buy at this price?
Much thanks
stuart

Q: Very concerned about the mortgage issues reported today in the globe and mail
Should this equity be sold?
Thanks

Q: Your comments on the increased taxation on the dividends for this equity are noted but does that apply to US persons holding shares in their US domiciled account or just to non-US shareholders holding in say a Canadian equity account? Also the capital appreciation of this equity over the last 3 years dwarfs an Enbridge. What do you think of this obvious discrepancy moving forward should interest rates peak and hold at current levels - would the outperformance likely continue in your view? What concerns might you have surrounding PAA compared with Enbridge? Would you buy this one for a longer term hold if high taxation of dividend isn't considered? Thank you for your input.
Q: What are your favorite foreign ETF's that could be used to increase exposure.
Thanks Ron
