Q: Just trying to understand the short term effect on the market of the 10 million units in the secondary offering. I read that the underwriters committed to selling the shares for $48.85 USD. Does this mean selling in the open market or do they typically have buyers of big blocks lined up to soak up the units? I'm assuming that, if the units are to be sold in the open market, this will put a ceiling on the SP for quite a while since the 20 day avg volume of the US and Canadian markets is about 600,000 units.

Q: Good morning 5i team,
What is you opinion of the sale of Torstar for .63 /share. It appears to be below cash on hand and below book value of the company. Only Vertical Scope has BV of $115.3 million . Why would Fairfax support the deal when they paid a much higher price for their 40% and be willing to take a massive loss ?? Something does not feel right about this transaction.
Thanks,
George

What will Sanofi’s sale of its’ stake in Regeneron do to the price of regeneron? What is the $$ value and % of the REGN market cap? (about $12b?) Will Sanofi keep any of its regeneron interests). 5i pls look at the technicals and suggest an entry point? As the sale is to be completed by December (or the lock up) should one wait?
Many thanks,

Q: Frontline is a shadow of its former self a decade ago. It has finally shown some signs of life in the last year: shows a 34% dividend. The fact that it actually still has a dividend seems remarkable.

Is this company buyable here? Is it better managed and is that dividend likely to continue. Was the dividend cut over the last 10 year or eliminated at all during this time/

Thanks for your insights here.

Q: What are some good companies to buy now with a dividend of over 6%. For context I'm in my 20s and have been investing mainly for growth but I'd like to add some more yield to my overall portfolio so safety is not a huge concern.
