Q: Hi 5i,

Which of these two companies do you prefer? Is there a different nat gas stock you'd prefer?

Q: I'm aware that you don't follow companies outside of Canada but I also appreciate the fact that you make a special effort to answer questions about them to the best of your ability.
With the caveat that I should do my own due diligence, what could you tell me about Australia-based blue chip CSL Pharmaceutical (CSSLY)?

Q: I am 10 years from retirement with no company pension.I have a good size RSP and TFSA along with an equal registered account.In your opinion what percentage of my portfolio should be in bonds and in what type of funds.I only see junk bond funds that are giving any kind of returns but risky while government bonds are only producing 1% returns.What does a guy like me do .I need 10 years of steady 5-6 percent returns to fund s decent retirement but can't bet the farm.I am currently invested in geographic diverse funds and some hedge funds.

Q: In a 7 figure account that I manage I need to add a telco for about $20K. This account already has close to equal amounts of Rogers, BCE and Telus. The decision is between topping up those three or adding COG. As you know the stock has been on fire this year but why? Can you shed some light?

Q: Hi, I just read an article,that said the high price at the pumps were do to the refineries getting higher margins. If that is the case,and it is not the first time I heard this, then there must be some companies in Canada that are doing really good? The oil and gas sector has been down for years, getting impatient I guess.
I was thinking of selling my energy companies WCP,PEY&TOG and replacing them with refinery or related companies for more growth.
Do you agree with this switch, and could you name two or three stock that you could recommend.

Q: The last 2 days NFI announced the opening of a sales & service centre in N California plus spending $28m to establish a plant in Kentucky.Such big capital expenditure.Is this partially responsible for the decline this week &/or other reasons?Thanks for u usual great services & view

Just a comment. You are fond of pointing out that there are two sides to every trade but I don’t know if many people really think about what that means. Frustrated holders of ENB (how could we be anything else?) might want to take a look at a 5-year chart for TRP. TRP went through a period where it had some issues and not everything was working out perfectly for it. Even though there was never any real concern that its dividend was in danger or that its business enterprise was at significant risk, the market sold it down from $60 to $40. Sound familiar? But a quick glance now will confirm that over the most recent several months TRP has spent most of its time over $60 again and the people who bought it near $40 have made out like bandits. Do you think maybe some of them were buying ENB this week? Thanks!

Q: I see wealthica is trying to assume the portfolio tracking business that Google is abandoning. I used Google, but am reluctant to go to Wealthica, as they require you turn over your investment portfolio access and password, which sounds unsafe.
Do you feel they are safe to deal with/

Q: I currently owned TV, CS and MX for Material stocks. I would like to add one more in a LIRA account. I only have enough cash for one stock. Should I add Stella Jones or Agnico Eagle Mines. The only accounts I have is a RRSP and LIRA but have 20 years yet to retirement.
