Q: Hi, I've had some good experience experimenting with $US stocks in that I've experienced gains, but have also noticed the withholding tax on dividends in my cash account. I'm now restructuring a bit by selling off AT&T which has gained and has as well a 5%+ dividend (I'll repurchase in RRSP) and am looking at various ETFs tracking the S&P or specific sectors like banks. My question is whether any of them distribute $US cash dividends which I seek to use for travel in the US. I'm looking at ETFs like ZDY.U, HUBL.U or any others that may have come across your radar. Q: Good afternoon,
Can you help bring some light to the Rogers Sugar news release and halt, sounds like they are issuing 85M debt to pay off existing 60M debt and some other items I don't fully comprehend other than Mr. Market doesn't like the news and the stock is down 2% Tuesday. What are your thoughts on this development and stock drop?

Q: Hi 5i:

Two questions: (1) I think you said in response to a recent query that AMZN could be put in the consumer cyclical category. Is that correct?
(2) Paychex has been mentioned several times recently on BNN. What is your assessment of this company for the next two years, say. How robust to a downturn would it likely be?

I know from your articles we should not be asking questions focusing on daily price action, but the recent breach of long term support has caught my attention.
In Tuesday's trading, the price withstood selling of over 80,000 shares then dropped below support on an aggregate amount of 4500 shares being sold.

This investment is included for the purpose of stability and future growth once through their plant investments. Not interested in riding another stock to 50% loss just to collect a meagre dividend.

Would you please comment on company, recent price action and how you would characterize this investment at today's price in today's market?

Q: Hi 5i,
I have aprox. 20k in cash in my RRSP. I am trying to decide in what to invest it in. I am turning 37 years old this year. Should I be leaning towards a growth portfolio like I am doing with my TFSA?

What would be your top 5 stocks you would start your RRSP US or CDN with $20k cash?

I also have aprox $160k in a LIRA right now. How should i go about investing this money? Can you recomend me specific stocks or ETF's?
