Q: I read recently that there has been a change in senior management at Fiera, with Mr Desjardins the former CEO moving to Executive Chairman. I believe that he is 77 years old, the controlling shareholder and founder of the company. I had thought that he would be selling the company due to his age. but now I am wondering whether it has become a value trap. What do you think?

Q: In mid December I moved some shares out of my TFSA into a non-registered account.
The non-registered account shows a market price for those shares attributed to the time/date that I moved the shares. Can I assume that that is the amount of additional room that I now have in my TFSA? What I am intending to do is to move some other shares into the TFSA.

Q: Stan Wong on Market Call had EQRR as a top pick. I've been looking for an ETF like this. It looks like the MER is .35%. What do you think of this or do you have a different one that you could recommend for outperformance with rising interest rates? Thanks!

Q: Hello Peter,
Thank you for recommending Tamarack(TVE). 10% in the last few days, I will take that.
My question is on Lundin for copper/base metals. I saw your recommended that a couple of days ago and today it had a nice pop of 10%. Is the easy money already made or it will still be your preferred choice? Or would you suggest another name? Does not necessarily have to be on tsx,
Regards
Rajiv

Q: This question may be a little premature however with on line discount brokerages such as CIBC Investors Edge about to charge fees to buy and sell Mutual funds where can I find a place to park short term cash?
I have been using Investors Edge high interest accounts which pay very little however are easy to use. Being a Mutual Fund this will incur fees in the future?
As I have twelve (12) different investment accounts this can become a little pricey for no upside other than minimal interest.
I am now looking for another home for short term cash . Ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Q: looked over the recent 5iR balance and income portfolios as of the end of December and saw more than 5% in cash for each of these two portfolios.....I wondering - will you deploy some of this cash in the next 5iR Update???......and will this update be coming out, like in the next week???.......or do you expect to defer deploying the cash until there is a clearer market, aka positive sentiment and also momentum??? .........curious Tom

Q: First of all thank you for your excellent service. Here's hoping 2022 will be juist a good as 2021.
Question: The ETF portfolio in Money Saver showed a change from VIG to VGG. No explanation was given. Also all the ETF portfolios on the mutual fund and ETF website now have VGG. Can an explanation be provided please? It appears that the expenses are the same but the dividend is much higher for VIG.

Q: Dear Peter et al:
You have built a stellar reputation by choosing some very fine winners. SHOP/LSPD/PBH/KXS and others which have gone to become multi baggers to use Peter Lynch's phrase!

From your new picks, your holdings in Growth portfolio and from your watch list which do you think are your next multi baggers? Can you gaze into your crystal ball and share your insights? I won't hold you to your predictions!! :) You may speak freely!! Once upon a time articles used to appear in financial magazines titled, "Next Microsoft is here"!! :)

I am asking this Question specifically to buy with new monies for TFSA/cash in RRSPs and some in non registered accounts. If not stocks , ETFs would be fine too.
Many thanks in advance.
Mano.
