Q: Hi 5i team,
Palantir just won another big contract from Government. Can you please comment on the stock's current valuation and growth outlook? Would you consider buying more at current level?

Q: With the sell-off and resultant higher yields on bonds, what are a few bond ETFS that I might consider as a short term park for money in registered accounts. Maybe there are bonds I could buy? They are hard to get some times on my bank platform: CIBC Investors Edge.
I have not owned any bonds for a very long time. Prefer dividend growth stocks.

Q: These large cap dividend stocks have declined significantly. Would you consider them on sale now to add or purchase at these time? Eventually these stocks should recover perhaps even without cutting theirs dividends.
Thanks for your input on this matter.

Q: Hi guys
Tricon has dropped more than other real estate stocks in the last week and is considerably below book value .... something that I would have given the stock more of a floor. How realistic do you consider their book value if all their homes/properties were liquidated tomorrow and the company was wound down or sold?
It seems , given the price of building materials, you could not begin to build houses for what Tricon bought many of these houses at - many after the 2009 real estate melt down, plus there is so much pent up demand for more housing given inflows of immigrants.
How would you rate the quality of management?
Do you see it as having compelling inherent value and would you add to a partial position now?
Much thanks
Stuart

Hamilton Canadian Financials YIELD MAXIMIZER TM ETF (HMAX)
-
Hamilton Utilities YIELD MAXIMIZER TM ETF (UMAX)
Q: My TD Waterhouse account used to show a calculated yield based on the current price of UMAX and HMAX but for some reason shows no yield for UMAX and 10.8% for HMAX now ...... Yahoo Finance isn't much better . And the Hamilton website shows 13% and 15.5% no matter what the ETF price is ..... So the first question is what is the calculated yield for both at today's price ? And second what would be the unit price for my targeted entry point of both 14% and 14.5% for UMAX { still making up my mind on UMAX entry price } .... and 16.5% for HMAX ? With rising rates hurting utlities and banks in the doghouse I'm inclined to think I might get those entry points .....
Q: Hello
Is BN like a Canadian version of BRK.B.
With the major difference BN pays a small dividend and breaks up its assets like BAM.
Would you own both or do you prefer one over the other.
Thank you.

Q: So, after the market closed yesterday, PLC announced they were withdrawing any further involvement in the purchase of Carriage. I would have expected today to be a "down" day...due to the perception that PLC would not be "growing" as per their stated 5 year plan of growth by acquisition (my paraphrase).
However, today PLC is up 4%. Is it due to the market being relieved that PLC is better off not having to add debt to their balance sheet?
A bit confused...thanks...Steve
