Q: Hi
Accumulated these utilities as part of my non-correlated asset mix. BEPC has been the worst performer. Down 16%. Hydro One is the best performer so far. Up 6%. EMA/FTS are nearly neutral.
I followed your pragmatic and practical suggestions and took only a partial position in each of these stocks.

Time to add ? In what order would you add? My plan is to add equal amounts.

Q: Dear Peter et al:

To a question today on KKR, you had mentioned that you wouldn't be averse to adding to KKR "s position slowly.
Recently Larry Berman one of BNN Bloomberg's regular told the viewers that he has sold his equity and moved all into private equity and private credit lending. He didn't mention which private equity he bought !

BLK,BX,KKR,BN ...which is your favourite now? Anything else that catches your attention?

Q: Hi there, can you comment on the merits of KRR's news today?

Can you add any further information on Ramelius, its size, quality of assets, financials, etc?

Would this be a good fit for KRR scaling up, if it happens?

Any other rumors/speculation out there of someone else jumping in for KRR or other possibilities you feel would be better for KRR, your thoughts would be appreciated?

Q: I'm looking at starting a position in OLY. But I saw an update yesterday from an investing site adding a new major risk that earnings are forecast to decline and avg of 6.1% for the foreseeable future. Also a high level of non cash earnings (23% accrual ratio). In the recent ER they stated that expenses had increased due to bonuses etc in their investment arm because of the strong performance of the company. I'm wondering if these things all point to a stock that got so high due to a few great quarters, but is now expected to normalize and pull back as earnings decrease? Which could maybe impact the div down the road also. Is the high performance behind them and the future looks to normalize? Thx

Q: Hello 5i,

On Feb 28th 5i provided answers to Jacques and David on the top 10 US and CAD stocks to own in a TFSA. Thank you for that answer.

Can you please provide the top 12 stocks overall (CAD or US) in order of priority that should be in a TFSA? We have both US and CDN funds + CDR's. Diversity is not important at this time and we are anticipating that US stocks will outnumber CAD stocks in the top 12. Funds are not required for 6 years or more.

If this was your TFSA, would you have equal weighting or will one or more of the stocks have a higher weighting compared to other stocks? If yes, can you identify the stock(s) and the % of weighting? We can equal weight the remaining stocks.

Q: Hi The focus on bitcoin these days I am surprised that I can’t find more questions or information about bitcoin and related cryptocurrencies on the 5i website.

I can’t help but wonder if I’m just not asking the right questions or looking in the right places.

If that’s the case, can you please direct me to the proper area so I can do some homework before making a commitment

On the other hand, if there isn’t anything currently available on your website, could you please tell me what your top three bitcoin purchases would be?

Q: I’ve held TD for many years and the steady dividends are great but it’s sure been floundering as of late in terms of growth. The 50 per cent weighting in the states seems to have dragged it down with the money laundering questions not being adequately addressed. Might a switch to Manulife or Sun Life not be a prudent move at this time??

Q: I am currently overweight energy and under in real estate. Which of the above three should I trim or sell completely? It seems ENB is as much utility as Energy and it's rather flat, for me. Love all the Energy dividends. The sole Realty I have is DIR.UN which I'm happy with. Which Canadian REIT's would you suggest and would I be better with a US or European REIT? If so, with one(s)? Q: I was thinking about rounding out my materials sector for income and was disappointed about the special dividend offered compared to last year. Are they shorter on free cash this year?
Also where do you see natural gas prices going in 2024 as this of course will be tied to their profits and hence share price?
Do you have any other suggestions with a decent dividend other then AEM and LIF?
