Q: I have a question about name changes. In your experience if/when a Company changes its name does this help or hurt. My question is specifically about Veran (Crescent Point Energy). Now I have held this Company stock and options for a long time and made lots of money on it. Also lost some along the way. They have been slowly changing their operations to be very positive ie: no more Saxberg and serial aquisitions. Now they have decided to change the name and the stock has not responded very well. I grew up on a farm and found you may dress up a pig but it is still an oinker after the dress-up. Thanks Gordo

Q: Since the stock market and valuations are very high actually ,it seems to me that the real estate sector (REITS etc..) is still affordable compared to other sectors.Do you consider that increasing real estate stocks and ETFs proportion makes sense now, or would you rather favor another sector?

Q: Some time back, based on your recommendations ( thank you ) I added BN and GSY to my cash portfolio which is loaded up with banks, utilities , telecom etc, to include more growth oriented high quality stocks and am now able to add one of these four. Would you please give me a quick analysis of each detailing strengths/weaknesses financially , operationally,

Did you know expanded Silicon/Merlin owned by Angologold is expected to produce 1.8 mil gold oz in year 4. This would make it the largest gold mine in the world. @OrogenRoyalties owns 1% NSR worth $45 mil FCF in year 4.

Q: Good morning Peter,

By now you would have read the Company’s pre earnings release after market close yesterday. Based on guidance, would it be correct to say that this stock will likely get punished today and will be some time before it shakes off the defense issues to the tune of 1 year in the penalty box. Is this a case of the company not realizing what it was getting into when it bought L3H? And is it dead money for the next year or so?

Q: Currency Exchange. The currency exchange company we use is open 24/7 and charges more for exchanges made on weekends and holidays. Do you know if there are times of the day that may be more volatile and that should be avoided?

Q: In an earlier question you mentioned that although you disliked giving targets for entry points, you suggested $37 for BEP. That's $10. below its current price: does this mean that you expect further drops? My concern is only that, because of my age, time in the market is limited, so waiting for recovery is less feasible than it was when I was younger.

I am a shareholder of Argonaut and most likely vote in favour of Alamos gold offer ,looking at the long term benefits with this acquisition.However I am perplexed by the price movement of AR ,which is over the offer price of .40 by Alamos.Would you kindly shed some light on this situation as a possible technical trade!

Q: Hello 5i,

When I look at a chart of WELL, I see that its momentum is not horrible but not good either. When I read 5i's responses to members, I see that his opinion is rather favorable about this company. My question is: If 5i had never had a position in WELL, would he consider initiating one now or would he wait until the momentum has improved?
