Q: Hello,
I read somewhere that AAPL took 42 years to reach a 1 trillion market cap and only took 2 years to reach 2 trillion! Sounds like compounding at work. How common is it for mature companies like AAPL to grow at this rate? Which of the other FAANGM companies would you expect some thing like this? Thanks.
I had been watching PHO for months. After their earnings call and the pull back and your words on earnings, I was encouraged and finally took a position at $1.80. I have averaged down during this pullback as I thought it was a bit "silly" as Nigel is just trying to temper expectations. They have no debt, nearly 40 cents per share is cash and a great gross margin. Am I correct in thinking the risk is the 3 companies that represent 80% of revenues and revenues dipping/not growing.
So a couple questions:
1. Am I misguided in my thought that it is very cheap right now and a couple more solid quarters would change sentiment?
2. Your past company report estimated value to be $1.93 a share. What do you believe the share price is now?
3. Who do you believe the key 3 customers are and do they have a chance to pick up more?
4. Do you know who their competitors are? I cant seem to find them.
5. At what point, would you "back up the truck"?
Q: Good day...if one was to invest in div in a cash account is the only concern the 15% hold back on the U.S. dividend...the large dividend at a reasonable fee is attracting me along with the holdings that are in the sectors that are out of favor...could you please give your opinion on this for a 10% exposure in my portfolio...Gene
Q: Berkshire Hathaway is now the single biggest owner of AAPL, and AAPL is now a substantial fraction of Berkshire's value. With the spectacular recent run-up in the AAPL share price, why hasn't BRK.B risen more? Thanks.
Q: I have about 29.3% of my portfolio in financials. Is this too much? I'm above water on all except BNS with FSZ about even if I include the dividend. Which would you suggest dropping if I'm too heavy in this area & in what order? Thanks,as always for your wonderful guidance
Dave
Q: In addition to Steve's question on Very Good Food company. This company is run out of the Victoria Public Market, which is basically a high end food court. It seems to have a Very high market value for such a small footprint.
Q: Pho is in descent .i owned his once before meterioc rise followed by steady decline. Should i continue to hold .
Another stock is MG not the same as PHO but concerning
Q: Peter and team
I unfortunately jumped (like many others) part way down the crash in March.
I simply cannot believe another correction is not coming.
What do you recommend as a safe place to park cash and earn at least a bit of interest other than a GIC while waiting.
Also I know you don't have a crystal ball, but what are your thoughts on a correction ahead.
Thanks
Phil
I was wondering if you could give a few added thoughts on Veeva, prior to their report on Tuesday. You have said that it is one of your favourite US growth stories, and it has undergone a large 2020 rally already, and some recent range bound movement.
Not knowing more that what I have read here and from reviewing charting, it looks like they have gone through periods of surges and plateaus over the years.
Would you expect some manner of growth announcements or earnings surprise on Tuesday that creates a new growth driver, or are you more of the opinion that there will be some developments in the weeks or months ahead?
Announcement today CGX will be opening some 160+ theaters across Canada. Down over 80% since it's highs in Aug 2017, what are your thoughts of a CGX recovery all things considered as they begin opening up for business?
Q: These seem to be some of your favorite Canadian growth names - very different in terms of sectors, vol and size, however can you please rank them in terms of growth outlook for next 3-4 years to add some torque to a portfolio.
Thank you
