Q: My total holdings are highly diversified across the sectors. I have some cash in a USD RRSP so dividends and some growth is welcome. I am looking to RIO, TECK, WFG, WMB and CCJ for their respective thematic relevance over a 3 -5 yr hold and would appreciate your comments on your one or two more favoured of this list.

Q: I would appreciate your thoughts on Verde Agritech recently issues 2.5 million tonnes permit and their plant 2 expansion which will result in overall production of 1.8 million tonnes.

With it's value increase its become a larger percentage of my portfolio and I think about trimming. However I also think about feeding the growers and the company is just entering an exciting period of growth.

Q: Hi

Would you have a recommendation for a bond ETF from BMO? I have no bond exposure now and I'm looking to start acquiring one or more bond ETFs - whatever you think might be a good mix considering all the relevant factors.

My brokerage is through BMOInvestorline so there is no trading commission if I use their products.

Q: Hi 5i Team. I am just saying thanks for your advice over the years. Diversification in point. I once subscribed to an online investment advice site by G.P. called IWB. It has some very good portfolios, but I think one good lesson on diversification will be in one IWB portfolio i.e., the Growth Portfolio where it often boasts of huge double digit returns since inception but never on an annual basis. Its Growth portfolio has 8 stocks with about 51% Tech and 38% in just two i.e., SHOP (23.5%) and ARKK (14.5%) as of Feb 2021. Yikes. I stopped keeping track about 6-months ago but an update is due this month (maybe in the G&M). It will be interesting to see if diversification is mentioned in the next update. In fairness, the IWB does warn of the risk of investing in the growth portfolio, but it seems your growth portfolio is much more diversified and reporting annual performance is very helpful. Q: Dear 5i,
Assuming the following criteria:
1. war in Ukraine
2. there is correction in International ETF's.
2. one was lucky and was able to buy either TPE and/or THE near the bottom.
Which ETF would you buy for best price appreciation?
(TPE is non-hedged, THE is hedged)
Can you please explain your thought process for this choice.

Q: Hi,

Can Canadians buy i bonds directly from the us treasury? My understanding is that it pays a 7.2% interest as it is linked to inflation. Do we have any products like this in Canada and what rates do they offer? Thanks. Regards, Shyam
