Q: Hi Guys What is your take pho at this point for a year hold Thanks Mike b
Q: Looking into RRIF s. When one converts RRSP to a RRIF, is it as easy to transfer between brokers or are there some built in downfalls one should avoid? My concern is being stuck with a firm one lose confidence or faith in.

Q: I have a small position in PHO. This is my only position in tech. Is it a wise move to invest in the tech space at this time, if so do you have a suggestion.
Q: I can’t speak for other subscribers, but I would say mr Modesto hit it out of the ballpark yet again on bnn today. Unlike a lot of these so called professional stock pickers on tv, I would take Modesto’s and hodson’s advice any day of the week over the rest of them. Keep up the honest work boys!
Thank you

Q: Market linked GICs are generally viewed quite negatively. However, I am interested in them in two specific ways. First and more generally as a substitue for the bond portion of your portfolio are they really all that bad? Secondly and this is more specific. If you had money in a child's RESP and needed it in 3 to 5 years, and presuming that it is enough to cover basic expenses and safety is paramount, would it not be a resonable place to park the money?
Thank-you.
Thank-you.
Q: Hello
One of Ryan top pick on BNN today is TCL.A. This one is not in the 5i portfolios or covered by 5i report. I am wondering if TCL.A has better valuation or growth potential than the stocks in 5i portfolios. Should we buy TCL.A on top of 5i portfolios?
Thanks
Victor

Q: I'm opening a new TFSA account. What 5 stocks would you recommend for a 10+ year investment today, emphasis on growth.
Q: My question is about addition of cash to the balance sheet with out dilution. I have the above mentioned company in my risk portion of my portfolio. They seem to be on to a novel way to fund their mine in the form of a stream but with the help of an security token offering. so my question is if they are successful and add say $10,000,000 to the balance sheet, what should that do to the stock price. I would appreciate your insights. And any additional observations on the company as a whole.
Q: Hi 5I folks,
Thanks for a year + of perspective, insight and consistency on your approach to reporting and questions which I read almost daily.
When I decided 4 years ago to address the overwhelming position of TD stock in my portfolio (2/3), diversifying was the goal.
It was ok at the beginning but 2 years into it I was in need of some help – 5I to the rescue . TD position was growing faster than I could diversify –so it felt.
In any case I’m now on my last batch of TD to divest (13% of the portfolio), a bit of cash in the accounts (4%) and a bit of a dilemma on what to add to and if I should move from 3% to 4% the investment total for individual positions. I don’t mind having 30 + stocks all the time to deal with but I can see that may not be the case in the future. My horizon is long but with a 2/3 year scenario where I may need to switch to a more Income oriented portfolio. For now I’m comfortable with the balance. I have 50% larger cap, 25% mid to small cap, 20% dividend and 5% in speculative stocks. Normally I buy 1% at a time (one quarter reporting in between purchases).
From this list could you identify any that should be excluded or maybe does not need to be owned ? DIV and GS can wait in my perspective - best to pick from others listed?. It looks like I have 17 1% positions I can add.
WSP, OTEX, SIS, SLF, BAM.A, TSGI – 3% to 4% currently (add 1%)
ATD.B, GSY, FIH.U – 2%-3% currently - (add 1-2%)
GS, ECN, CAE – 1-2% currently – (add 1%-2%)
KXS, PBH, DIV, ET, TCN, AIF, - at 1% (add 1%)
Appreciate your suggestions and comments.
Regards.

Q: Could you remind me why you decided to add Trevali to your growth portfolio? Is your thesis still intact? The stock is close to the same level that it was in early 2017, but global inventories are lower and the price of zinc is still higher than it was in early 2017. This makes me think that Trevali's stock price has more chance of going up (a lot) than to keep declining. Comments? Thanks.
