For short term 2-3 years, which group would you pick? or any better idea?

In looking at this particular Centurion ETF, I noticed there are different classes - some of which seem to have higher fees for advisors, etc. I also note that in a previous Q&A you have mentioned this is a mutual fund, as opposed to an ETF and I have been told by the person recommending it that it is a mutual fund trust, which is different - yet their explanation as to why it is different wasn't clear to me. So I am wondering what the difference is between a mutual fund trust and a mutual fund. I assume it operates somewhat like a REIT, but am not really sure. If you could clarify this and whether or not the CEN105:CA is the low fee version, available to direct investors, I would appreciate that. Also please let me know if you would recommend this, or could suggest better alternatives, I would appreciate the input.

Q: Lspd,kxs,gsy all long time holdings
Gsy hit a 52 week high last week and finally seems to be getting the recognition it deserves

My question is what is going on with lspd, i get it is expensive but so is kinaxis and shop
With 190 million in cash, over 50,000 customers where do you feel support is on lspd, and shop down from 545 to 405 in 5 weeks, i want to step in on both but need some guidance. Dave

Q: Hi 5i, View the current oulook for fixed income products in Canada being rather abysmal. What are your views of emerging markets. There seems to be a play for emerging market bond markets now that the US is tightening rates and the US dollar is weakening. I am looking at some ishare etf products (USD funds) that invest in EM bonds. You always said we should hold some bonds and some foreign investments in our portfolio. Your thoughts?

Q: BABA & other Chinese Companies got hit from Trump's comment re not listing of Chinese Companies in New York. .Assume this would be for new listings and not effect Companies presently listed. This downward move effects U S Pension Funds and U S Citizens that hold Chinese companies . Not a smart move. China holds $ 1 4 Trillion US Treasuries. All they have to do is start selling these U S treasuries in retaliation to his moves. Your comments please .

Q: There was a article in the Globe on the weekend about what could happen if your broker went bankrupt or insolvent. They stated it was conceivable that a client of the failed broker could lose all their shares. They talked about the CIPF protecting you up to $1 million but if you had more assets than a million then you should have more than one broker. I am just wondering how that could happen? The client still owns the shares not the broker. Under what scenario could this be likely or even possible?

With the sale of DRG.UN does this improve the prospects of DRM to grow over the next 3-5 yrs, do you know what the thinking is DRM will do with the cash they receive, one would think the company intends to grow the business.I have small positions in both company's is it time to take the profit and choose another REIT as from what I can read at 5i you think there are better options out there in this sector.

Q: Hello Peter, as I have noticed a lot of ppl asking about the BIP and BIPC news, and since BIPC (or BEPC) can provide so many advantages (e.g., simple taxation, broader investor base, etc), why ppl still want to keep their shares in LPs, I mean, what's the benefits of holding these Brookfield family in LP structure?

Q: I feel that plant-based "meat" substitutes are a growing trend. I have read that Maple Leaf foods have been making a big investment in this market. Do you think Maple Leaf Foods would be a good investment at this time?

Q: Why is tax-loss selling considered to be a December activity or at least an activity that most people practice then? If you are down on a stock and want to sell for tax purposes, why not do it now (or in March or July) and then reinvest when you see the opportunity? It seems to me that by waiting until mid-November or December it not only means that you will get even less for your stock (sure you get a bigger tax loss) but that you will be wanting to repurchase it when everyone else is too, thereby having to pay more for the stock.

Am I missing something here?

Q: Do you have any idea why MX charts so closely to many Oil and Gas stocks? I don't think they are in the same business but maybe they are after all. I thought part of the problem with Oil was excess supply (abundant shale oil for example). Is there just too much Methanol out there for the existing demand? Since Methanol is used as a substitute or an additive to gasoline and also used to create plastics do you think we are experiencing an emotional rejection of Methanol instead of a verifiable decline in use?
MX on their website illustrate the use of Methanol to power cargo ships. Is this a new growing use of the product?
