Q: I was reviewing my portfolio and looking to reinvest some dividends that have accumulated and was thinking about PLC. Then right before my eyes it dropped 5.87%
Now I am hesitant, What was the reason for the drop?
Q: Hello 5i is there any reason why the above 5G stocks are acting so poorly, good earnings amazing potential in so far that the 5G roll out is concerned and yet.. what I'm missing.. Thanks
Q: Can you comment on the latest results for Shopify. What are we to make of the increasing costs reported? In your opinion is this increase in costs a "one-off" or reflective of something more serious.
Many Thanks.
Q: hello 5i,
I have generally done well with your stocks but I bought tlt:US only a couple of weeks ago. I am already down 4 percent. I imagine I bought at a bad time because it has gone up for the year. Now stock markets are moving up and bonds, I guess are moving down. I am at a bit of a loss regarding how to proceed with this. I suppose I should buy something like gst's with fixed income to make sure i don't lose money. so, the question is what to do with tlt now. Do you still consider it worthwhile in the current situationÉ
thanks
Q: i thought gsy earnings were good, the forecast was good, stock down 5.00 seems like a bit much, stock was not expensive to begin with.. your comments. dave
Q: What do you think of the current situation in Chile from an investment standpoint? Some of the banks have been hit hard as has ECH, the US Chile ETF. Do you know of any Canadian ETFs with a decent Chilean concentration? Thank-you.
Q: Brian this morning mentioned the negative momentum in PBH. Any idea why it's down about $10 the last few weeks, on no news? You tell Brian you'd be comfortable continuing to hold. Would you also be comfortable adding to an existing $95 position?
Q: If one were interested in investing in Artificial Intelligence what might you recommend for Canada, US or abroad. More so interested "safer" stocks, as opposed to trying to hit a home run.
Thanks, Lee
Q: Cheers;
This is a follow-up to the question from Rick from the west coast.
I own some BBU.UN which has been OK but not great. I am thinking about switching it for BAM.A which yield's a bit more and has a stellar history. I'm in it for the long term. Would you approve.
Thanks for your insight.

Just trying to better understand the recent shifts in the stock market sentiment here in Canada. Over the last couple of weeks, I note that safe dividend growers (mainly utilities: AQN, FTS, TRP etc.) and REITS in general are trending down. So are growth stocks such as SHOP, CSU, LSPD etc.. I also note that resource stocks are on an upswing lately. Are investors seeing an upswing in this sector or are resource so cheap that they have nowhere to go nut up?What is driving the market? Are lower interest not expected anymore here in Canada? Is the pending deal in the USA-China going to benefit resource stocks in Canada so much that we will see an uptick in inflation and an eventual rise in interest rates in Canada vs. lower interest rates in the US? I am wondering what am I missing? I know no one can read exactly what will follow, but can you help me better understand the "What and Why" of what is trending currently. Thank you!
Q: The sad state of the Canadian fosil energy sector has me torn between cutting my loses and moving on ( too late for PGF....) or doubling down on a few names when things are in the dumps.... With the exception of Suncor ( dont need more and happy with it so wont sell), what do I do with my current energy holdings. Thanks to the poor recent performance they are down to about 10% of my total holdings. Dump, hold, add, or double down on these names please.
Q: Time to invest some dividends sitting around in cash. I want to top up one of these 3 holdings. Which is the best opportunity to add right now. These are my 3 smallest holdings ( PZA and MX due to drops, MAL bought a small position that has done well) so want to top one of them up.
