Q: Hey guys. Looking to put some money to work in the health care and cyber security worlds. Im a buy and hold, long term investor so looking for long term compounders with really strong innovative business models and a good runway to grow. What would be your top two or 3 picks in each space for a 5-10 year time frame?

I know that you still like AP.UN, but if one feels that there could be better results elsewhere, how would you feel about a switch to GRT.UN? Allied has done well in my wife's TFSA, but I'm a bit uneasy about the office property sector in the short to medium term. Or do you have any other suggestions in the same sector? Q: Yesterday, I did the Norbert's Gambit for the first time. It went smoothly. Thanks for the Q & A on it.......One learning, ask for the journalizing to be done inter-day as that then allows for DLR.U:CA to be sold shortly after the transaction is done.... I used Scotia iTrade and the result was a 1.6% saving compared to doing it at a bank like RBC........Again thanks for the "tip"....Tom

Q: Can you shed some light on the high volume of trading today especially for blue chip stocks. Many traded at 10x usual volumes, some with sharp declines at market close.

Q: In today's Barrons on-line edition there is a story that "pressure mounts on US banks to halt dividend payments". Do you see that pressure on Canadian banks? If Canadian Banks do not feel that pressure ( and assuming that is the case even though all the Cdn banks trade on NYSE) this may make Canadian Bank shares more attractive if US banks do trim their dividends

Q: As a part of our duties as Powers of Attorney for a relative it looks like we're going to need the services of a stockbroker.
We're sitting with a miscellany of share certificates he accumulated from the nineteen fifties through the seventies. Some of the issuers are clearly long gone (e.g. Nortel Networks) but others are or appear to be still trading. He wants to liquidate these holdings to tidy up his estate.
Some of these shares have changed name through the years.
Any suggestions on how best to deal with this situation?

Q: I have held riocan for more than a decade,and am still well ahead. However, I am concerned about the retail industry as well as the big yield, and fear a cut. I don’t need to be in the reit space in my portfolio. Would you recommend a hold ,or a sale and replacement with a decent yielding and relatively safe alternative?
If so, what would be your favourite?

With a conservative tilt: Cons. disc 10%; Cons staples 10%; Utilities 10%; Telecom 10%; Real estate 5%; Industrials 15%; Energy 5%; Materials 5%; Info Tech 10%; Health Care 5%; Financials 15%

Would appreciate if you can provide an update to that , or if 5i decides to stop providing that guidance, I will respect that decision too.
