Brookfield Renewable Partners L.P. (BEP.UN $37.32)
-
Brookfield Renewable Corporation Class A Exchangeable Subordinate Voting Shares (BEPC $49.86)
Q: I switched from bep.un to bepc the first day I could. Then I switched back when the spread was around $11.00. Now the spread is around $17.00. I guess this is a lesson in supply and demand since the big institutions can only by BEPC. But it seems way over done, doesn't it?
Btw, why would Brookfield maintain both a trust and a regular equity for the same company? Do you think they will completely switch over at some point?

Q: Hi,
I was wondering how you view Sony and Activision blizzard. Would you own them moving forward? There were reports that Sony would decrease production on the PS5 last month, but they denied the reports.

Algonquin Power & Utilities Corp. (AQN $8.12)
-
Northland Power Inc. (NPI $23.04)
-
Brookfield Renewable Partners L.P. Limited Partnership Units (BEP $27.20)
Q: My question relates to sector allocation. Specifically, I am significantly overweight in Utilities (23%), but underweight in Energy (3%). That said, most of my utilities are related to renewable energy (AQN, BEP/BEPC and NPI, as well as FTS which is starting to tilt toward renewables). Does it make sense to 'assign' a portion of these stocks to the Energy sector? And if so, what percentage of each would you suggest could be reassigned? Thank you.
Q: May I have your view on this stock please. Buy, sell or hold?
Q: Do you like Apha is it a buy sell or hold Thanks
Q: What is driving the price lately
Q: Am I too late to enter the chip space, namely Nvidia or AMD? Should I buy one or the other or both?
Your thoughts please.

Canada Goose Holdings Inc. Subordinate Voting Shares (GOOS $19.23)
Q: Hi 5i team,
I haven’t asked a question in a while. The reason being is that the Q&A is so comprehensive it practically covers all of my holdings, which is great. While the bulk of my funds are in the U.S. for growth, I keep a smaller chunk in Canada, so I am not fully exposed to the U.S. dollar. I recently added some beaten up stocks, such as GIL, GOOS and MX, which are quietly moving higher almost every day. A couple could be considered value. Is this a rotational trade or are some institutional investors finally coming back to Canada?
Thanks again for the insight.
Dave

Q: Hi team
this stock has run up from $ 59 to now $ 68 in 2 weeks span
are there any news in this company to account for that?
I did have a half position, is it a hold, buy or sell?
I think one gets a nice dividend, would you add on to Magna at this stage ?
not sure if you can tell us the seasonal trend for this stock as well, thanks

Q: Hello 5i staff,
Good morning to you. I have a reasonable portfolio of stocks but have been thinking of increasing holdings in six or seven stocks and dropping others, in order to consolidate. Currently I am selling puts on the stocks that I am interested in and was wondering what you thought of that as a strategy. For instance, I currentlly have puts out on Alimentation Couchetarde, BAM and CNR amongst others, I am not in a hurry and am happy to collect the premiums. But, I can see that if these stocks continue going up, I may never get them. And on the otherside, if there is a market crash, I will get them for sure. But, may more for them than I would at the time, Now, I am talking about stocks that I already hold 3 percent of my portfolio in. Would certainly appreciate your comments, as usual.
thanks

Q: HI Team,
Your responses to DKNG so far have been fairly cautious. What do you need to see from them to become more willing to give them your blessing?
How do you compare them to someone like The Stars Group who you have liked in the past? Is this more a valuation and "newness" caution?
Thanks!

Q: HI, There seems to be a growing consensus among market watchers and strategists, that Utilities are likely to shine in coming months and years. In this sector, specially the companies which have more exposure to Renewable and Green energy seem to be the favorites. One of the reasons cited for this view is a possible Biden win in coming US elections. We presently have about 9% sector weighting, equally divided between AQN and FTS, but wish increase to may be 15%. Over recent weeks, rising valuations have also reflected this optimism, although, for some more than others.( e.g.,Boralex from $27 to now $41). Which of above companies, in your view, have best potential for growth and prospects for consolidating their position in Green energy ? Also, from valuation perspective, which ones will be your favorites, for more capital appreciation over next few years ? It would help, if you could rank them in preference and explain your reasoning. Thank you for your great insight, as always.
Q: Hi 5i team,
There are a ton of 5G companies that you mention from time to time. One that comes up less frequently is MRVL. MRVL had a virtual investor day today, which I attended, but kept it on in the background. A number of executives gave their views on their major markets, technology and growth rates, which as expected was all positive. The stock traded up for a while but then faded. I did not pay that close attention but was not overly impressed with the day. What say you on MRVL and what is the real point of investor days if there is nothing that noteworthy?
Thanks again for the insight.

Q: Hi gang, looking into some safe alternate investment. Are this fund safe to buy in ? Any other suggestions? What are the risks?
