Q: What are your thoughts about the CDR's offered by CIBC. Are these more or less the same as owning the actual stocks? What is the good and the bad investing in these CDR's? Is this a good way to own US stocks without purchasing these high priced stocks. Will owning these CDR's result in the same returns as the underlying securities. What about the dividends are they payable the same as the actual stock and if so how are they treated for withholding and tax? Anything you can share would be appreciated. Thank you.

Bellow is a list of the CDR's offered by CIBC through the NEO exchange.

FSLY reported earnings today and stock is up....How were their earnings and forecast. What does the future look like for them today?
Currently own this stock down -35%. Would you continue to hold ORsell and move on. There are no tax loss benefits to capture.
If sell what would you suggest to replace with in similiar space?
Thx
Jim

Q: Recently I sold units in FID6000 in my grandson's RESP because of its poor year to date performance and high MER. We did book an overall gain of 130% over a 3 year period. The RESP account owns a variety of income producing positions. that have modest gains. I am looking to invest in something growth oriented, with maybe a 3 to 5 year horizon ahead. I am considering splitting between one or two ETFs listed above and possibly TOI. Do you expect further growth from TOI?. Opinions on ETF's please. Moderate risk OK. Canadian currency only account.

Q: Hi Peter,

ROKU had plummeted after hours. On looking at the earnings, I was surprised that its not as bad at the market is making it out to be.

For one, all key metrics like streaming hours, active accounts and ARPU were all up YOY. So was the Revenue , EBITA and EPS.

It seems the issue is that they missed on revenue when compared to what analysts had forecasted and guided lower for next quarter. From the accounting knowledge I possess, ROKU hardly seems to me like a company that is not growing unless I have become "rusty".
Your brief overview will be highly appreciated.

Thanks,

Q: Please make this public or private as you wish.

Miso Robotics and their product Flippy is a pre public company and I'm wondering if you have any thoughts on how to value it and what you think of its future?

Q: Chegg saw a big drop yesterday with their news of a slowdown in the education industry. Do you see future growth for this company? Would you buy on this dip? Or are there better opportunities out there?

By the way, I'm new to your service but reading the Q&A has become an essential part of my daily morning routine - thank you for the excellent insights!
