Q: I am holding 5% in XSP. VUN AND ZQQ ETF. I am planning to increase to 10% in each. Plus I hold FTEC and SKYY ETF 2% each. Planning to increase to 5%. DO you think there is overlap and is any ETF holding is to high. If it is too high what percentage do you think is appropriate.

Thanks for the great service
Hector

Q: My portfolio lacks a serious commitment to technology although it is reasonably well balanced across the remaining sectors emphasizing a conservative income approach. To address the tech sector, I thought I would start easy, as it were, by investing in either ZQQ or XQQ. For an investor in his mid seventies, with a low comfort level in most things tech, that would appear to me to be the way to go. Appreciate your view.
Thank you.

Q: What would you consider good weightings in a portfolio for the above ETF's? If you were building a fairly aggressive growth portfolio with these as your base what other ETF's would you suggest to get a start on diversifying a bit?

Q: I bought some high flyers ... Now that I have made some quick cash on paper , I am concerned that I might lose if the market decides to go south. Do you have any feelings about these , or do you feel it is "safer" to play the ( broader ) Nasdaq rather than the tech sector as I am doing. Any thoughts are appreciated . I already own all of the Tech Giants , and they have done well too ( except for QCOM grrrrr) .

Q: Hi there, I am a balanced equity investor with a tilt towards growth and have about a 20 - 30 year outlook. I currently own all Canadian equities in my portfolio and am thinking to add a 15% position in the broader market. For a balanced, growthy investor, which ETF listed on the TSX would be best? Or is there a better alternative you could suggest? Thank you!

Q: Hello: I currently own ZQQ yield of .52% and ZUE yield of 1.5%. I find that HBF has a much higher yield of 7.1% and will basically mimic the first two etfs, would you agree? Is HBF a reliable etf, if yes should I invest new money into it or use it as a replacement for either one or both of the other two. I’m retired and I am after some growth but mainly income.
Thanks

Q: My TFSA is all in Can $. I have $12000.00 to add this year, so would like your opinion, on the US Tech sector, or the US Bank sector.
I would buy a ETF. At this time would you go hedged or unhedged?
Thanks for your continued support.
Shirley
