Q: Hi Everyone!
It seems to me that Quantum computing is of great interest , having read the following: “ …last Nov. Photonic inc, Xanadu and Nord Quantique advanced to the second stage of the Quantum Benchmarking Initiative, led by the United States Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, a military backed research program that aims to build a useable quantum computer by 2033.”
Are any of these companies considered investable by you or are there any others, or are things premature at the moment? It would be nice to get in early in a company with good potential.
Cheers,
Tamara

Q: Hello,
Descartes Systems and Algonquin Power are starting to show positive momentum . Would this be a good time to enter the two names; if not, which one would you prefer. Sincere thanks for the ongoing advice.
Q: Hello 5i Team
Was there any news on Tnz stock that made the stock spike so much? I noticed that there was an analyst upgrade, but can not imagine that it would have caused a such an increase alone .
Thank you
Q: Fairfax Financial is up about 100% in two years. I see that Orla Mining Ltd. is 29.6% of the FFH portfolio, and is up about 350% in two years. Can you calculate how FFH would have performed without OLA in the portfolio?
Q: I am below 2% weighting in each of these companies and would like to sell one or possibly two to increase my weightings. Considering a 3 to 5 year time frame what would you sell first and what would you add to first? Please rank with some if your thoughts. Thanks. ram
Q: I am currently down on GFL, and am considering replacing it with TFII in my portfolio. Do you think this is a solid move with regards to GFL’s potential compared to that of TFII.
Q: Excepting the evidently low growth potential for this fund, why would an income investor not get 4% or so for their portfolio? Is there a Canadian fund that is its approximate equal? Thank you.
Q: Happy New Year! I have held ZQQ:CA for several years and am looking switch to an unhedged fund that covers the Nasdaq 100. Is this a good time to switch or given that the US dollar is under pressure right now should I wait to make this switch? Is there an ETF you would recommend in the same category?
I am also overweight in Technology and underweight in International holdings. I hold DSG which has been in decline over the past year and was considering a swap for EUAD for the next five years. Other considerations you may suggest would be appreciated.
Thoughts?
Thank you
Dan
PS. I may have not pressed submit on a previous version of this question…. !! If so apologies for the duplication.
Q: I currently own CLS, GOOG, NBIS, CSU, APP, NVDA, SHOP, AVGO, UBER, JBL, MSFT, QBTS, and IONQ in my portfolio. I would like to reduce the number of tech stocks. Can you please rank them in terms of growth potential over the next 12 months.
I came across this article over the weekend via a Lance Roberts’ “Real Investment Advice” website’s “Daily Market Commentary” post on it Jan. 7th. The title is a bit meh, but the key detail to me I pulled from the article is that the Pentagon has elevated critical minerals to the same strategic priority tier as ammunition and fuel. The US already has access to enough oil elsewhere.
