Q: It's time that I trim my above portfolio of 13 oil & gas stocks to sector weighting. Which 6 stocks do you think should be first to be trimmed? Please list the stocks in order from the first to be sold to the sixth. This is for medium risk profile. Also could you list a short reason why you think it should go for each of the six stocks.

Thanks

Q: Hello Peter, Can I have your opinion please?

I am wondering if it might be a good idea to reduce my holdings in gold and silver stocks (maybe exit all my positions?), at least until May and buy some in the energy sector from the proceeds.
The reason behind this stems from yields going up- maybe the 10 yr goes to 2%. How likely is that? Apparently, the seasonal period of gold starts in summer.

My stocks in gold are at both ends of the large/small caps such as AEM/KL,FNV, KRR,MMX,WDO and PAAS.
I am under represented in energy with ENB,PPL and ALA.
What would be your suggestion? And if you agree, could you give me 1or 2 names to let go and 1 or 2 names to add.
Always appreciative of your thoughts.
Regards
Rajiv

Q: The listed oil and gas companies comprise a 4% weight in my portfolios. I have been dying in oil and gas for about a decade. However, not counting the capital losses I have taken over the years, the current portfolio of legacy and new acquistions is miraculously above water. I have promised myself to never again be so exposed to the world's most manipulated commodity. If I'm going to folow though on this self-promise I need to think about liquidating some of these positions. Question: in what order would you take down these positions?
Best wishes for 2022. David

Q: I'm in the process of rebuilding my portfolio for 2022. It would be helpful if you could share with me a list of both Canadian and American companies that meet the following criteria:
1. They are some of your favourite companies from a fundamental perspective
2. They are currently buying back their own shares.
3. They offer a decent dividend.
4. They run businesses that offer good growth prospects for next year.
5. They currently offer good value.
6. These companies are so solid they would classify as 'core ' holdings.
At least six companies in each list would be appreciated.

Finally, I would like to express my gratitude for the support and ideas you have shared this past year. Definitely one of the best advisory services available to Canadians,

Q: Looking forward to 2022 I think there is a recession coming at us. (Personal Opinion). Looks to me that growth companies are going to continue to face severe headwinds. I also think industrials, financials, energy, and health care will be the sectors that will start to outperform others. Of course I'm open to debate regarding my choices and welcome your opinions. However, I would appreciate 3 or 4 examples of companies that you believe are set up to outperform in these sectors. If I've missed any sector please feel free to add your ideas. Thanks for your valued suggestions.

Q: Eric Nuttall was giddy on Friday market Call about the opportunities in the oil sector. David Burrows on Wednesday was equally bullish on commodities stating they are in the early innings. Would you support full positions in SU,WCP and Teck.b going forward? Thank you.

Q: Can you comment about Co-operatives Limited memorandum of understanding and what this means for near and future earnings.

Is this a big area that WCP can grow in the future? Carbon capture looks like a big opportunity as net zero goals are put in place for companies in the future.

Also do you have a some names for pure play for carbon capture company that you would recommend?

Take as many question credits you feel appropriate to answer the above
